Electrochemical determination of salbutamol in aqueous solutions with UiO-66/rGO-modified electrodes
The synthesis of the UiO-66/rGO material involved combining UiO-66 with reduced graphene oxide (rGO). This resulting composite found application in the electrochemical determination of salbutamol (SAL) through modification of a glassy-carbon electrode (GCE) with UiO-66/rGO. Differential pulse voltammetry served as the chosen technique, offering a wide linear range spanning 1–160 μM and demonstrating a low limit of detection at 0.84 μM

A simple and environment-friendly electrochemical method using activated glassy carbon electrodes (aGCE) for monitoring the residues of tetracycline in pork samples was developed. A two-step pretreatment procedure was established for activating the glassy carbon electrode surface, including mechanical polishing and electrochemical pretreatment. In the supporting electrolyte solution of 0.2 M sodium sulfate (at pH 2.5), the electrochemical response of TC was characterized by two irreversible oxidation peaks at +0.95 V and +1.05 V vs. saturated calomel electrode. Ebook "Pulse voltammetry in physical electrochemistry and electroanalysis: Theory and applications" provide a comprehensive and consistent presentation of all techniques available in this field. They rigorously analyze the behavior of different electrochemical single and multipotential step techniques for electrodes of different geometries and sizes under transient and stationary conditions. The effects of these electrode features in studies of various electrochemical systems (solution systems, electroactive monolayers, and liquid-liquid interfaces) are discussed.

Lysine, an essential amino acid is used in the biosynthesis of proteins. It contains an αamino group, an α-carboxylic acid group, and a side chain lysyl. In this study, differential pulse voltammetry had been applied to determine lysine followed by its derivatives with formaldehyde in functional food samples.

The main objective of this study is the development of surface-printed carbon electrodes (SPCE) modified with folic acid imprinted nanostructures (FA-Imp-poly(MPTS-rGO-co-NAT), which will be used for the first time for folic acid determination in commercially human blood serum. For this purpose, the synthesis of nanostructures has been carried out and characterized by FTIR, SEM-EDS, and AFM. Then, a new chemically modified nanosensor was fabricated for the determination of folic acid using folic acid imprinted nanostructures.

A simple approach to constructing a double-layer voltammetric sensor is described. The poly(malachite green) (PMG) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were coimmobilized at the surface of the glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for fabrication of PMG/MWCNT/GCE. The modified electrode was characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), and chronoamperometric techniques.

Single-walled carbon nanotube (CNT) and chitosan composite (chitosan*CNT) based sensors were developed as DNA biosensors, and then they were applied for electrochemical investigation of the interaction between the anticancer drug mitomycin C (MC) and DNA. The oxidation signals of MC and guanine were monitored before and after the interaction process by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The DPV results were in good agreement with those of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).

The present paper describes the use of a disposable pencil graphite electrode (PGE) for the voltammetric determination of famotidine. Cyclic voltammetric studies using different supporting electrolytes emphasized an irreversible oxidation of famotidine on the PGE. The electrode process is diffusion-controlled and pH-dependent. Differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in phosphate buffer solution of pH 6.81 was employed for famotidine’s quantitative determination.

Cyclic voltammetry (CV) was performed on tamoxifen (tam) using different electrodes and in various acidic electrolytes containing 10% v v−1 methanol (MeOH). Tam oxidation was found to be most favorable using 0.1 mol L−1 H2SO4. To investigate the mechanism, we performed chronoamperometry, CV at different scan rates, differential pulse anodic voltammetry (DPAV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy on tam-covered glassy carbon electrodes (GCEs). The electrode area, diffusion coefficient, and surface concentration (Γ) of tam were calculated to be 0.062 cm2, 3.65 × 10−6 cm2 s−1 , and 3.

A pencil graphite electrode (PGE) was used for the simultaneous detection of ascorbic acid (AA), norepinephrine (NE), and uric acid (UA) by differential pulse voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry. The anodic peaks of AA, NE, and UA in their mixture can be well separated in 0.1 M Britton–Robinson buffer solution at pH 4.0. The effects of various experimental parameters such as pH, scan rate, and voltammetric parameters on the voltammetric response of these compounds were investigated.

Voltammetric behaviors of six nitro-substituted benzamides, which are potential prodrug candidates for nitroreductase-based cancer therapy, were investigated using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The electrochemical behavior of aromatic nitro (ArNO2) compounds by CV indicates that compounds involve various reduction/oxidation steps including the formation of aromatic nitro radical, nitroso, hydroxylamine, and amine groups.
