  • In this study, rhenium/rhenium oxide nanoparticles (Re/ReO3NPs) have been produced for the first time in ultrapure water by using Femtosecond Pulsed Laser Ablation in Liquid (fsPLAL) method. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) measurements and results obtained for NPs show the existence of well-crystallized peaks and preferred phases. Re NPs have hexagonal structure while ReO3 NPs have the perovskite-like cubic crystal structures. The Re/ReO3 ratio is also determined to be 53/47 with ~ 20 nm crystallite size, while pure ReO3 crystallite sizes were measured to be ~ 25 nm.

  • The coordination chemistry of cadmium(II) with diamine ligands is of particular interest. The most common structure around cadmium(II) center in their complexes is tetrahedral, that is due the octet rule obeyed. Nevertheless, five and six-coordinated complexes are also well known.

  • The thickness and roughness of the Ni films increase with the increase in electrolytic currents. XRD patterns showed that Ni films were formed in the crystal phase of Ni corresponding to face-centered cubic structure. Pure Ni films obtained by annealing the films in hydrogen medium were used to prepare NiPt alloys due to galvanic reaction of Pt2+ with Ni2+ in H2PtCl6 solution. The influence of the H2PtCl6 solution concentration on the composition of NiPt alloys were investigated by EDX.
