Broccoli is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, free from calories and fat necessary for a healthy life. The production of broccoli is poor as compared to the developed world because of different biotic and abiotic stress. The nutritional stress is increasing with the passage of time because of low soil fertility and numerous stresses occur in the root zone of plants which reduce the uptake of minerals.

The longest storage life was recorded in Sweet Orange cv. “Mosambi”, Mandarin cv. “Kinnow”, Acid Lime, Pineapple cv. “Queen”, Beetroot, Watermelon, Capsicum cv. “Bombay Green”, Cabbage, Ivy Gourd, Bitter Gourd (Green) and Hot chilli, and the shortest in Broccoli, Lettuce and Ridge Gourd inside cold room. Storage at Ecofrost at 10°C and 93% relative humidity can extend life and improve post-harvest quality retention for fruit and veggies, but its effects vary depending on the commodity.

Vegetables play a very important role in our daily diet. As an unconventional vegetable “Broccoli” is yet to gain the desired popularity in our country. However, considerable attention is being given on production technology of broccoli which is rich in nutrient content and greater yield potential. But yet no systematic work has been done on evaluation and commercialization of high value nutrient rich varieties of broccoli. Therefore, the present study was conducted during rabi season 2015-16.

The investigation was carried out at the Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, VNMKV, Parbhani (M. S.) during Rabi 2018-19 to study the effect of liquid biofertilizers and inorganic fertilizers on growth attributes of broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. italica) Cv. Green magic. Two factors were taken for study, the first factor was the chemical fertilizers at three levels (125 %, 100 % and 75 % of RDF) and the second factor was the different biofertilizers (Azotobacter, PSB and Azotophos).

The experiment consisted of sixteen treatment combination including four NAA (control, NAA @ 80, NAA @ 120 and NAA @ 180 ppm) and four GA3 levels (control, GA3 @ 25, GA3 @ 50 and GA3 @ 75 ppm) were undertaken randomized block design (RBD) with three replications at Horticulture Farm S.K.N College of Agriculture, Jobner (Jaipur) during rabi 2018-19. The result of study clearly indicated that application of NAA @ 180 ppm to the sprouting broccoli significantly increased the plant height (58.32 cm), number of leaves (25.85), leaf area (1255.35 cm2 ), chlorophyll content in leaves (2.
