Quality of transportation services

The operations of critical bus stops on arterial roads substantially influence the facility bus capacity and the bus quality of service in terms of schedule reliability. The aim of this article is to employ the methodology in the Transit Capacity Quality of Service Manual (TCQSM) to better understand the performance of key bus stops on arterial roads in Hanoi city.

This paper evaluates sustainable urban bus service quality based on passenger perception and expectation in local tourism destinations in order to attain a comprehension of tourists’ attitudes towards local public transport. The study focuses on the combination of route 101 and 102 by Rapid Penang bus to investigate passenger satisfaction because the bus is the main public transport used by most tourist who use both routes. Data collection by questionnaire survey from 201 valid questionnaires was analysed using sustainable assessment model for both routes.

Malaysian nowadays prefer more on private transport such as car and motorcycle compared to public bus. This decision may be due to personal experience when the services do not meet the expected satisfaction. Understanding the key factors of bus performance is important because it related users’ loyalty and ridership issue. The study aims to compare the service quality of traditional taxi service and app-based taxi service. Customer surveys were conducted with customers who used both types of services. In addition, in-depth interviews were carried out with a small number of respondents to explore their perspectives on taxi service quality. Service quality attributes include tangibility, reliability, convenience, safety, and empathy. The results show that the overall service quality score of appbased taxi service rated by customers was higher than that of traditional taxi firms.

In this research, we combine both traveling salesman problem and parcel lockers to increase efficiency in LMD. This method will help to answer the question of how to deliver faster, cheaper cost, more convenient to pick up and be environmentally friendly. The results prove clearly that salesman could reduce 57,8% of total distance, customers to pick-up e-purchased goods from designated 24 hour and we reduces the number of traffic jams and noise associated with transport, and thus reduces emissions.

In this article, the issue of improving the quality of passenger service of urban passenger transport in large cities and megacities on the routes, operating on the Bus Rapid Transit technology, is considered. A study model was developed, investigated and analyzed with the involvement of 250 transportation service firms in Da Nang. High quality, grade separated public transit attracts people who would otherwise drive on congested roadways, which reduces the point of congestion equilibrium (the level of congestion at which travelers reduce their peak-period trips). Although congestion never disappears, it is not nearly as bad as would occur without such transit services.
