An experiment was conducted with 9 colocasia [Colocasia esculenta var. antiquorom Schott.] genotypes to evaluate the estimate of genetic variability for different characters. The experiment was conducted using a Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications. The genetic parameters between yield and yield contributing characters of different colocasia genotypes were studied. Analysis of variance showed significant variation among the genotypes for all tested characters.

In the recent time, pumpkin has got industrial importance with the development of pulp powder as a nutraceutical supplement to Vitamin A requirement. Pumpkin is cheaper source of Vitamin A when compared to carrot which necessitates specific climatic requirement for its production and high productivity per unit area. An experiment was conducted at the Department of Vegetable Crops, Horticulture College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore to find out suitable pumpkin genotype for earliness, high yield and quality.

An experiment was made to assess extant of genetic variability among fifty germplasm accessions of Indian mustard with three check varieties for various quantitative characters, heritability and genetic advance also estimated for such characters. Analysis of variance revealed highly significant differences for all the characters. The genotypes showed moderate to high level of genotypic coefficient of variance (GCV) and phenotypic coefficient of variance (PCV).

(BQ) This paper investigated the effects of machining parameters on surface roughness of wire EDMed DC53 die steel. The investigated machining parameters were pulse-on time, pulse-off time, pulse-peak current, and wire tension. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) technique was used to find out the parameters affecting the surface roughness. Assumptions of ANOVA were discussed and then examined through residual analysis. Quantitative testing methods on residual analysis were employed in place of the typical qualitative testing techniques.
