Perovskite solar cells are known to belong to the third generation of solar cells. Owing to the ability to change the band gap energy when changing the material composition, it has a high absorption coefficient that reduces manufacturing costs and carrier mobility. and the diffusion length of large charged particles leads to higher efficiency, so compared to other types of solar cells of the same generation such as color sensitive batteries and quantum dot batteries, perovskite batteries have the most application prospects.

Ebook "Calculations on nonlinear optical properties for large systems: The elongation method" describes the quantum-mechanical treatment of the response to one or more external oscillating electric fields for molecular and macroscopic, crystalline systems. To calculate NLO properties of large systems, a linear scaling generalized elongation method for the efficient and accurate calculation is introduced.

As a third-generation organic light-emitting material, thermally activated delayed fluorescence can achieve nearly 100% excitant utilization by reverse intersystem crossing (RISC) from the lowest triplet (T1) to the lowest singlet (S1) state, resulting in nearly 100% internal quantum efficiency (IQE).

Environmental radiation monitoring stations using the NaI(Tl) scintillation detector have higher sensitivity and provide more accurate radiation dose values than using Geiger-Muller counters. However, when the temperature of the environment changes, the measuring data changes (due to the temperature dependence on the NaI(Tl) light yield and the quantum efficiency of the PMT).

(CH3)3Al (TMA) has been employed for preparation of various thin films. It is also known to be hypergolic in the air. To unveil the hypergolic phenomenon, the mechanism for the reaction of TMA with O2 and/or H2O molecules is studied using computational quantum methods. Our results show that TMA reacts with water much faster than with O2, and water is not an efficient catalyst to help O2 reacting with TMA. The reactions of TMA with water and oxygen molecules can undergo subsequent ones in the air.

Three new asymmetrical photochromic diarylethenes containing a variable heteroaryl ring and a quinoline unit were synthesized and their structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Their properties, including photochromism, acidichromism, and fluorescence, were investigated systematically. For these diarylethenes, the one with an indole moiety had the largest absorption maximum, cyclization quantum yield, photoconversion ratio, emission peak, and fluorescent modulation efficiency.

This paper study the coupling and switching effects of two discrete relativistic quantum JackiwRebbi states in interfaced binary waveguide arrays with cubic-quintic nonlinearity. Like in the case with Kerr nonlinearity, two Jackiw-Rebbi states can couple efficiently to each other in the low-power regime, show the switching effect in the intermediate-power regime, and possess the trapping effect in the high-power regime.

The sandwich-structured CdS/Au/TiO2 nanofibers (NFs) act as a photoanode in the photoelectrochemical cell (PEC) for hydrogen generation by splitting water. The gold nanoparticles sandwiched between the TiO2nanofibers and the CdS quantum dots (QDs) layers play an important role in enhancing the solar-to-chemical-energy conversion efficiency.

In the present work, we have endeavored the utilization of wet-chemically synthesized copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO-NPs) as the active layer in hybrid bulk heterojunction (BHJ) solar cells. The BHJs with CuO-NPs display significantly different physics from customary BHJs, and prove a noteworthy improvement in their performance.

Capability of exciplex energy transfer through a spacer was investigated using three exciplex-forming solid mixtures which contained the well-known electron accepting 2,4,6-tris[3-(diphenylphosphinyl)phe nyl]-1,3,5-triazine and appropriately designed bipolar cyanocarbazolyl-based derivatives functionalized by attachment of carbazolyl, acridanyl or phenyl units. These novel cyanocarbazolyl-based derivatives were used as both the spacer and exciplex-forming donor.

A field study was conducted with an objective to assess diurnal variations in photosynthetic pigments and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters in two stay green wheat genotypes viz. DL 1266- 1 and Arina 166 to gain insight into photoprotective regulation mediated by photosynthetic pigments during grain filling under late sown heat stress condition. Heat stress was imposed by delaying sowing date i.e. 12th January. Diurnal alterations in temperature affected all the parameters associated with photosynthetic pigments and chlorophyll fluorescence.

Substituent constants and quantum chemical parameters were calculated from PM6, PM3, AM1, RM1 and MNDO. Hamiltonians were used to predict the corrosion inhibition potential of nine amino acids grouped under three skeletons. Skeleton I consisted of cysteine (CYS), serine (SER) and amino butyric acid (ABU). Those in skeleton II included threonine (THR), alanine (ALA) and valine (VAL) while those in skeleton III are aromatic amino acids, which included phenylalanine (PHE), tryptophan (TRP) and tyrosine (TYR).

Formulae expressing explicitly the q-difference derivatives and the moments of the polynomials Pn(x ; q) ∈ T (T ={Pn(x ; q) ∈ Askey–Wilson polynomials: Al-Salam-Carlitz I, Discrete q-Hermite I, Little (Big) q-Laguerre, Little (Big) q-Jacobi, q-Hahn, Alternative q-Charlier) of any degree and for any order in terms of Pi(x ; q) themselves are proved. We will also provide two other interesting formulae to expand the coefficients of general-order q-difference derivatives Dp q f (x), and for the moments xDp q f (x), of an arbitrary function f(x) in terms of its original expansion coefficients.
