In Ethiopia, the second most prioritized of the zoonotic diseases next to rabies is anthrax. About 50.6% of anthrax cases and 33.3% of deaths of livestock have been reported from Wag-Himra Zone, where appropriate anthrax prevention practices are not implemented by the owners of the animals.

Rabies is a re-emerging and fatal infectious disease in Asia mainly caused by exposure to rabid dogs. In spite of great advances in virology there is yet no cure for rabies. In recent times newer modality of disease prevention like genetic vaccines and other advanced vaccines have been taken into account. Prevention of dog rabies would be the most effective way to stop rabies transmission to humans.

Rabies: An important Zoonotic disease with special reference knowledge of dog owners, Gujarat, India
Rabies has terrified men since antiquity. Present study was carried out from randomly selected population of 120 dog- owner respondents from 3 urbancities of Gujarat state (India), viz., Ahmadabad, Anand and Vadodarato report percentage analysis of dog-owners on their knowledge level for prevention of rabies in dogs. Highest percentage (94.16%) of respondents possessed knowledge about rabies to animals can be caused by bite of rabid dog while lowest percentage of respondents (40.00%) were aware about the celebration of the world rabies day.

Globus pharyngeus is the sensation of a lump lodged in the throat. However, no difficulty is encountered when swallowing is performed.Misdirection of food, resulting in nasal regurgitation and laryngeal and pulmonary aspiration during swallowing, is characteristic of oropharyngeal dysphagia.
