This study presents durability of environmentally friendly alkyd coating containing Tinuvin 292 (a liquid hindered amine light stabilizer) under UV-thermo-humidity condition. Coatings were accelerated under UV-thermo-humidity complex for 100 cycles. FT-IR, TGA and SEM were used to value the changes of before and after accelerated weathering tested coatings.

Ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation is directly related to sunburn and other visible changes on the skin surface, including discoloration and skin carcinoma. This study investigates the influence of UVB rays (wavelength from 290 - 320nm) on the formation of cancerous tissues and also shows the differences between abnormal and normal tissue.

In ebook "Seaweeds and their role in globally changing environments" marine plants play a vital role in maintaining the balance of marine environments, while serving as a source of food for humankind and important chemical compounds. Microalgae and seaweed have enormous potential for reducing global warming and climate change. During photosynthesis algae grow, draw CO2 from the atmosphere, release oxygen, and produce solar biofuel.

Radiobiological daily changes within tumors are considered to be quite different between stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT) (e.g., 50Gy in 4 fractions) and conventional radiotherapy (e.g., 60Gy in 30 fractions). We aim to assess the optimal interval of irradiation in SRT and compare outcomes of daily irradiation with irradiation at two- to three-day intervals in SRT for patients with one to five brain metastases (BM).

Xeroderma pigmentosum is an extremely serious genetic disorder defined by sensitivity to sunlight, resulting in sunburn and pigment changes. If patients are not completely protected from ultraviolet radiation, xeroderma pigmentosum is characterized by a greatly increased risk of sunlight-induced cutaneous neoplasms.

Despite the emergence of stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) for treatment of medically inoperable early-stage non-small-cell lung cancer patients, the molecular effects of focal exposure of limited lung volumes to highdose radiation have not been fully characterized. This study was designed to identify molecular changes induced by focal high-dose irradiation using a mouse model of SBRT.

It is thought that the magnitude of magnetosphere of Jupitar may be fluctuating similar to that of the Earth. Using probes with dosimeters in the future, identification of NaCl can be made by the color change with radiation dose fluctuation. Even though there have been numerous results of irradiation effects of NaCl by DC accelerators, there are no data on formation and recovery behavior of Fcenters in NaCl induced by pulsed electron beams.

Environmental radiation monitoring stations using the NaI(Tl) scintillation detector have higher sensitivity and provide more accurate radiation dose values than using Geiger-Muller counters. However, when the temperature of the environment changes, the measuring data changes (due to the temperature dependence on the NaI(Tl) light yield and the quantum efficiency of the PMT).

The results also indicated that the dose depended on a change of current in the Crookes tube, and changed with a distance as a square of the distance. Recently, we initially applied cloud chamber to simulate the X-ray energy spectrum from the Crookes tube. It showed a correlation between Xray track length and X-ray energy.

This project is focused on studying the biological effects of low-power RF radiation on the expression and function of mechanosensitive ion channel protein (Piezo-1). To evaluate the effects of long-term exposures, cells were exposed at the frequency of 1800 MHz and power of 17 dBm for a period of 2 and 4 hrs using the transverse electromagnetic (TEM) cell exposure system. To study the effects of short-term RF radiation (10 min), exposures emitted from the mobile phone headset at the frequency of 845 MHz and powers of -15 dBm and -5 dBm were applied to cell cultures.

This paper reports effects of ultraviolet (UV) light radiation on the physicochemical, electrical and mechanical properties of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) cable insulating materials. Changes in structural and morphological properties of UV-aged samples were characterized by various analytical methods such as attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATRFTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM).

Climate change and ozone depletion have caused increased ultraviolet B (UVB; 280-315nm) radiation levels on earth, which has been predicted to cause decreased growth and yield of various crops, including rice, the most important staple food worldwide. UVB radiation sensitivity varies extensively in Asian rice (Oryza sativa L.) and African rice (Oryza glaberrima Steud. and Oryza barthii A. Chev.) cultivars, and the activity of cyclobutane pyrimidine dimer (CPD) photolyase that repairs UVB-induced CPD is an essential factor underlying UVB sensitivity in rice.

Production and consumption of pomegranate have been increasing in the world in recent years due to its health benefits to humans. Sunburn is an important physiological disorder caused by high temperature, light, and radiation. With the changes in climatic conditions that have occurred in recent years, the effect of sunburn is increasing and limiting the production and quality of pomegranate.

Validation of computer codes used routinely for calculation of the exposure due to cosmic radiation and the observation of nonpredictable changes in the level of the exposure due to solar energetic particles, requires continuous measurements onboard aircraft.

Luminescence thermochronology and thermometry can quantify recent changes in rock exhumation rates and rock surface temperatures, but these methods require accurate determination of several kinetic parameters. For K-feldspar thermoluminescence (TL) glow curves, which comprise overlapping signals of different thermal stability, it is challenging to develop measurements that capture these parameter values.
