Moxifloxacin (MOX) is a fourth-generation synthetic fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent with many important therapeutic properties. Fluorescence quenching was used to study the interaction of MOX with calf thymus DNA (ctDNA) in aqueous solution. As the most common genetic material of various biosomes in nature, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) plays a key role in different kinds of vital processes including gene expression, mutagenesis, cell death, etc.

Trichoderma reesei is a widely distributed soil fungus that antagonizes numerous fungal phytopathogens. Random induced mutation by gamma radiation with five treatments TrME 1 (50 Kr), TrME 2 (100 Kr), TrME 3 (150 Kr), TrME 4 (200 Kr), TrME 5 (untreated) were studied for morphological study and chitinase activity. The result indicates that TrME 1 contain maximum i.e. 0.3201 chitinase enzyme units/mg of protein followed by TrME 4 recording 0.3108 chitinase enzyme units/mg of protein.

The present investigation was undertaken to study the effect of non particulate gamma radiation and EMS mutagens on linseed varieties viz., Baner, Him Alsi-2 and Surbhi. Many significant effects of EMS concentration and gamma rays dosages on seed germination were observed.

The objective of the present study was conceived to investigate whether physical radiation and chemical mutagen disturbed the normal relationship or not between different yield attributing characters during mutagenesis programme. The present study was undertaken to find out the association between yield and yield components in M2 and M3 generations in three grasspea varieties so that the derived information would be helpful in developing appropriate selection methods and improving the economically important characters.

The present investigation was carried out on gladiolus with three cultivars which was irradiated with 15, 30, 45, and 60 Gy of gamma radiation at Department of Nuclear Agriculture and Biotechnology Division (NABTD), BARC, Trombey, Mumbai during November 2016 and field evaluation was carried out at Instruction Farm Department of Floriculture and landscape architecture, IGKV, Raipur. The experiment was laid out in Factorial Randomized Block Design with fifteen treatments replicated three times.
