This study investigates the impact of climate change (CC) on water resources in Phu Yen province, Vietnam by assessing historical trends of temperature, rainfall and flood simulation scenarios from a report of Vietnam of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in 2020. The method for assessing the impacts on water resources was provided in the report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 2007.

Flood is one of the most commonly occurring forms of natural disaster which damage to environment and society. In order to contribute to the work of mitigating the effect of climate change as well as floods' damage, this study introduces a method to simulate discharge with respect to design storm through hydrological modeling system (HMS).

In this study, HEC-HMS hydrological model version 4.2.1 was used to simulate the Rainfall-Runoff process in the Shipra basin at Ujjain G/d site, located in the Madhya Pradesh state of India. The basin model of HEC-HMS was created using HEC-GeoHMS and Arc-Hydro Tool in ArcGIS.

In this research, the numerical model MIKE URBAN is used to simulate the rainfall-runoff, routing and surcharge processes in Yen Hoa - Hoa Bang areas. Water depth and flood durations are indicators to assess the performance of the proposed solutions. The result of this research indicates that the renovation of the drainage system, i.e. enlargement in conduits’ diameter, can reduce inundation time significantly

An evaluation was conducted to develop a stochastic time series model, capable of prediction of rainfall and runoff in Karso watershed. The Karso Watershed selected for hydrological studies is one of the sub watershed of the Damoder dam catchment of upper Damodar Valley, comprising a cover the area of 27.41 km2 . The hydrologic sequences data of watershed collected from Soil Conservation Deptt., Damodar Valley Corporation, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand State were analysed. The watershed be capable of be divided into three main landscapes.

Runoff estimation is a key factor in the design of soil and water conservation structures to prevent land degradation and erosion. In the present study, the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model was used to estimate the runoff in Pindwara watershed situated in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan and spanning over an area of about 1428 km2 . Temporal weather data of rainfall and temperature, digital elevation models, soil data, land use land cover imagery was provided to the model as input to estimate runoff at the watershed outlet.

Satellite based precipitation product (GSMaP-MVK) can be reliably used to estimate the Areal Mean Precipitation error based on “Sample Design method” (Esdd) with the effort to mitigate the problem of sparse data, especially severe in poorly gauged river basins. In addition, the satellite-gauge merging precipitation would reduce significantly the magnitude gaps between the satellite rainfall estimations and the rain gauge data.

Hydraulic properties of soils and soil erodibility are expected to vary after rainfall because of the impact energy of raindrops. Resistance both to rainfall detachment and to runoff detachment might differ after rainfall, and temporal changes in soil erodibility take place.
