Ebook "Dynamic studies through control of relaxation in NMR spectroscopy" offers a remarkably cogent view of highly sophisticated NMR methods. Salvi developed these methods in order to characterize the amplitudes and frequency ranges of local motions in biomolecules such as proteins. These local motions play an essential role since they can explain many of the remarkable properties of proteins and enable them to carry out all sorts of vital functions, from enzymatic catalysis to intermolecular recognition and signalling in cells.

Ebook "Gravity, special relativity, and the strong force: A Bohr-Einstein-de broglie model for the formation of hadrons" shows that the strong interaction forces, which keep hadrons and nuclei together, are relativistic gravitational forces exerted between very small particles in the mass range of neutrinos. First, this book considers the motion of two or three charged particles under the influence of electrostatic and gravitational forces only, which shows that bound states are formed by following the same semi-classical methodology used by Bohr to describe the H atom.

This study has effectively integrated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) elastomer and three-dimensional (3D) porous conductive foams (CFs) to fabricate functional (CF-PDMS) composites containing conductive networks via a low-cost, facile and simultaneous freeze-dry-covering method, which possess both broad stretching and sensing ranges, using as flexible and wearable sensors (CF-PDMS sensors) for detecting and monitoring human motions.

This paper presents wave propagation process on an idealized fringing reef profile using numerical model, in which infra-gravity wave motion is of major concern. The results show that SWASH is capable to accurately predict infra-gravity wave initiated at the reef face and reef crest for the case of high reflection coefficient at back reef with the model skill in range between 0.94 and 0.98.

The reversed region increases gradually, resulting in a constant reaction moment. Analytical, numerical, and experimental analyses are presented to reveal and quantify the constant-moment behaviour. Prototypes of the concept are employed in exemplary linkages to demonstrate the ability to create a large variety of neutrally stable compliant linkages, which require extremely low actuation forces and exhibit large ranges of motion.

The relevance of local twitch response (LTR) during dry needling technique (DNT) is controversial, and it is questioned whether LTR is necessary for successful outcomes. Furthermore, because the LTR during the deep DNT may be evoked with different intensities, it is unknown whether the magnitude of LTR intensity is associated with optimal clinical results, especially concerning to the effects of joint maximal range of motion (ROM).

Patellofemoral overstuffing after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) can cause limited range of motion and anterior knee pain. This study compared anterior prominence of femoral components among different prothesis designs in surgical simulation models utilizing the anterior reference (AR) and posterior reference (PR) techniques.

The injured flexor tendon has poor healing ability, which is easy to cause tendon adhesion. It can affect the recovery of tendon function, which is still a long-term and difficult task for surgeons. Transforming growth factor β (TGF-β) has been widely considered to play an important role in flexor tendon repair in recent years.

Anterior shoulder dislocation remains a clinical challenge. This study aimed to assess the graft position and clinical outcomes of the arthroscopic Latarjet procedure and capsular repair for the treatment of recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation with significant glenoid bone loss in 37 patients. Between 2017 and 2017, 37 patients underwent arthroscopic Latarjet plus capsular repair procedure for recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation combined with significant glenoid bone loss.

The study aimed to explore the additional value of repair of Lafosse I subscapularis injury compared with debridement in anterosuperior rotator cuff injury. Operative treatment can effectively lessen severity of pain in the patients, improve shoulder joint function, increase the range of motion of the shoulder joint and enhance the QoL in treating anterosuperior rotator cuff injury.

Neck pain has been associated with weaker neck muscle strength and decreased cervical spine range of motion. However, whether neck muscle strength or cervical spine mobility predict later neck disability has not been demonstrated. In this 16-year prospective study, we investigated whether neck muscle strength and cervical spine mobility are associated with future neck pain and related disability in women pain-free at baseline.

Muscle atrophy caused by immobilization in the shortened position is characterized by a decrease in the size or cross-sectional area (CSA) of myofibers and decreased muscle length. Few studies have addressed the relationship between limitation of the range of motion (ROM) and the changes in CSA specifically in biarticular muscles after atrophy because of immobilization.

Persons with low back pain fail to show the same transition as healthy individuals from in-phase to anti-phase rotation of the thorax and pelvis as walking speed increases. The purpose of this study was to determine if the relative phase of the thorax and pelvis during walking was a reliable (within day test-retest) and valid measure for persons with thoracic pain.
