The present research investigation was undertaken to work out the rainfall variability of all districts of Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh. The meteorological data of rainfall required for the rainfall variability analysis was collected during 1989-2018 from Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad.

Sathgudi cultivar of sweet orange is very popular in Andhra Pradesh and it is successfully grown in Rayalaseema region (Red and loamy soils) of Andhra Pradesh. In certain scarce rainfall regions of Andhra Pradesh, Ambe bahar flower initiation in sweet orange occurs late in February and extended up to first fortnight of March resulting poor fruit growth, leading to low economic fruit yields.

The present investigation is focused on the perceived attribute complexity, measured in terms of cognitive complexity and application complexity of the dairy innovations selected for the study. Leafhopper funa associated with paddy crop-ecosystems in rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, India
In paddy crop ecosystem fourteen leafhopper species were collected, identified and described viz., Balclutha saltuella (Kirschbaum), Balclutha thea (Kirschbaum), Cicadulina bipunctata (Melichar), Cofona spectra (Distant), Cofona unimaculata (Signoret), Empoascanara defecta (Dworakowska), Empoascanara indica (Datta), Empoascanara prima (Distant), Exitianus indicus (Distant), Exitianus nanus (Distant), Maiestas dorsalis (Motschulsky), Maiestas pruthii (Metcalf), Nephotettix nigropictus (Stal) and Nephotettix virescens (Distant).

Cluster front line demonstrations were organized in sunflower crop under NMOOP-2016 to enhance the productivity and profitability by demonstrating Best Management Practices (BMP’s) about 24 ha area in farmer’s fields of KVK operational villages namely Kumarampalli village of Vempalli mandal and Jogireddypalli of Chakrayapeta mandal of Y.S.R district of Andhra Pradesh through participatory approach. KVK scientists demonstrated the BMP’s viz., Sowing of only two seeds per hill under Ridge and furrow system; Adopted Integrated Nutrient Practices viz.

Groundnut is the major kharif crop in alfisols of Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. Most of the groundnut crop under rainfed condition has low productivity and monetary returns. For this, an investigation was carried out during the kharif season in 2016-17 at S.V. Agricultural College, Tirupati to study the effect of in-situ moisture conservation practices on economics of rainfed groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.). The results of the study shown that the highest monetary gains for rainfed groundnut can be attained by broad bed and furrow method of moisture conservation practice.
