A major challenge for outdoor uses of methylammonium lead halide (MAPbX3) solar cells is the poor durability of the perovskite film under humidity. The zinc borate nanoparticles (2ZnO.3B2O3.3H2O) were successfully prepared by precipitation reaction in aqueous solutions of borax and zinc sulfate using oleic acid as a surfactant. The structural, morphological characteristics and the wettability of the particle surface were studied through Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the contact angle.

Decolorization of Reactive Red 3 from aqueous solution by laccase immobilized on the nanocomposite was studied in different conditions (pH, temperature, dye concentration, and reaction time) to investigate the decolorization activity with repeated use and storage. The new giant Mo 36 polyoxomolybdate formulated as K10[Mo36O110(OH)6(H2O)12].38H2O (1) was isolated by conventional solution method by the reaction of K2 MoO4 and KNO3 in aqueous solution (pH = 1.8), at room temperature, and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The title compound crystallized in the monoclinic system, space group P21/n with unit a = 16.5180 (0)˚A, b = 18.4485 (0)˚A, c = 24.2424 (0)˚A, α = 90.00◦, β = 99.51◦, γ = 90.00◦, V = 7285.79 (0)˚A3, and Z = 2. The refinement of the structure led to a residual factor R = 0.061 for 15,676 reflections.

The ability of oxime-containing acetylcholinesterase reactivators BT-07 (K005), BT-08 (K033), BT-07-4M (K074), and obidoxime (H2LX2, X = Cl−, Br−) to bind palladium(II) or platinum(II) cations was evaluated in aqueous solutions (pH 7.4) at metal-to-ligand molar ratio varying from 1:10 to 10:1. Spectral changes were monitored within a week after mixing the reagents in the range from 220 nm to 500 nm. Results showed that depending on chemical structure and reaction time, oximes form two complex species of composition, [MHL]3+ or [M2L]4+ (M = Pd(II), Pt(II)).

In this study, encapsulation processes of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) or sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) monomers into the cavity of β -cyclodextrin (β -CD) were applied to synthesize mono- and bis (indolyl)methylmalononitrile derivatives by a one-pot three-component reaction of an aldehyde, malononitrile, and indole in an aqueous solution. These two inclusion complexes proved to be superior to CTAB or SDS individually, as cationic or anionic surfactants, respectively, for accessing high yields of pure products within shorter reaction times.

In this study, fly ash was treated with NaOH solution (FA-NaOH) before modifying with (3-mercaptopropyl) triethoxysilane - MPS (FA-MPS). By using Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and Brunauer – Emmett – Teller (BET) nitrogen adsorption methods and techniques, the change in structure, composition and morphology of FA-NaOH and FAMPS was evaluated. The FTIR spectra of FA-NaOH and FA-MPS showed that there is no chemical reaction between the MPS and FA-NaOH.

Some factors that influence the formation of monocalcium phosphate in aqueous solution have been investigated in detail. The results show that reaction temperature, initial concentration of phosphoric acid and reaction duration determine the content of monocalcium phosphate in the processing mixture. Four different concentrations (10.0 ppm; 20.0 ppm; 40.0 ppm and 50.0 ppm) of the aqueous solution of seed powder of Syzigium cumini (L) concentrations was used to treat the leaves of mulberry and fed to the fifth instar larvae of bivoltine, crossbreed silkworm, Bombyx mori (L) Race: Bivoltine Cross Breed [(CSR6 x CSR26) x CSR2 x CSR27)] for first four days of fifth instar larvae. The larvae fed with untreated and water treated leaves were also maintained. The midgut enzyme (protease and amylase) bioassays were carried out on fifth day.

Poly 1-amino-9,10-anthraquinone (PAAQ) films were prepared by the electropolymerization of 1-amino-9,10-anthraquinone (AAQ) on platinum substrate from aqueous media, where 5.0 • 103 mol L1 AAQ and 6.0 mol L1 H2SO4 were used. The kinetics of the electropolymerization process was investigated by determining the change of the charge consumed during the polymerization process with time at different concentrations of both monomer and electrolyte. The results have shown that the process follows first order kinetics with respect to the monomer concentration.

Triblock copolymers were polymerised by the ringopening reaction of D,L-lactide in the presence of poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), with number-average molecular weight (Mn ) of 1500 and 2050 g/mol, using Sn(Oct)2 as a catalyst. The influences of the reaction time, the ratio of PEG and Poly(D,L-lactic acid) (PLA), and PEG types on structure and sol-gel phase transition of PLA-PEG-PLA triblock copolymers were investigated. Optimal polymerisation parameters were obtained, such as reaction time of 18 hours, a catalyst amount of 1.3%, and PEG/PLA ratio of 1/1.
