The study introduces feasible applications of UF for on-site pilots to treat domestic wastewater and provide an advanced treatment for coal mining wastewater to guarantee a sustainable water supply in remote areas.

The study about70 lakh hectare area of the country is affected with salinity and alkalinity. A large area of Uttar Pradesh (10.6 lakh ha.) is also affected with salinity spread over in 38 districts. UPLDC (Uttar Pradesh Land Development Corporation) initiated a World Bank sponsored programme “Sodic Land Reclamation Project” in some district on pilot basis in the year 1993 which was extended later on to 10 districts. This project envisaged to reclaim 45,000 ha land during 1994-95 to 2000 through participatory management mechanism.

Due to the regulation of the river Volga flow, expanding of the territories intended for construction and development of agriculture wetlands Volga-Akhtuba floodplain are being significantly transformed and are losing many of their qualities. Non-regulated loads lead to the break of natural physical and chemical characteristics of water bodies, loss of biodiversity, degradation of structure and functions of biological communities and, as a result, to decreasing of potential ecosystem services.

In 2005, a 550 -acre tract of agricultural land containing two small streams near La Grande, Oregon was registered in the U.S. Federal Wetlands Reserve Program. This designation was part of a plan to reclaim and restore the wetland to its natural state. Initial efforts at the End Creek Restoration Project restored both End Creek and South Fork Willow Creek to a natural course through rechanneling, and several plantings had restored some of the native flora.

This study sets out to investigate the potential damage of treated latex wastewater in irrigation, among which is the possible degradation of soil structure and stability. Study field is located in Rubber Research Institute of Vietnam, Ben Cat, Binh Duong.The rubber field was irrigated by treated latex wastewater and stopped from September 2012 to April 2015 (16 months after irrigating).

Irrigation-farming and dry-farming are both systems of agriculture devised for the reclamation of countries that ordinarily receive an annual rainfall of twenty inches or less. Irrigation-farming cannot of itself reclaim the arid regions of the world, for the available water supply of arid countries when it shall have been conserved in the best possible way cannot be made to irrigate more than one fifth of the thirsty land.
