Health literacy (HL) is rarely addressed in rehabilitation research and practice but can play a substantial role in the recovery process after an injury. We aimed to identify factors associated with low HL and its relationship with 6-month health outcomes in individuals recovering from a non-catastrophic road traffic injury.

Recovery trajectories differ between individual patients and it is hypothesizes that they can be used to predict if an individual patient is likely to recover earlier or later. Primary aim of this study was to determine if it is possible to identify recovery trajectories for physical functioning and pain during the first six weeks in patients after TKA. The study focused on the prevalence of Staphylococcus aureus and resistant strains in goat milk samples. In this study, 100 individual goat raw milk samples were collected. A total of 39 (39%) isolates were recovered. Strains identified as Staphylococcus aureus were further analysed by the polymerase chain reaction method for detection of the mecA gene.

An integrated gasification process was developed for an Ohio-based kraft pulp mill to produce liquid transportation fuels from biomass and coal. Black liquor byproduct from the pulp mill is co-gasified with coal to generate high quality syngas for further synthesis to dimethyl ether (DME) and/or Fischer-Tropsch fuels. A Texaco gasifier was chosen as the focal point for this design. Whenever possible, energy is recovered throughout to generate heat, steam, and power. In handling these issues, i value the individual over corporations and governments and seek a privacy approach that makes data transparent to and controlled by their subject. In other words, i believe that an individual has complete rights to their own data and their presentation.
