Impact of cluster frontline demonstrations (CFLDs) on pulse production productivity, profitability and transfer of technologies in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, India

The present study was carried out to evaluate the performance of improved cultivars with scientific package of practices on production, productivity and profitability of pulses. Cluster frontline demonstrations (CFLDs) were conducted during 2016-17 and 2017-18 in total of 170 demonstrations with evaluation of the performance of TBG 104, variety of blackgram in Orvakallu and Gonegandla blocks, Red gram variety PRG-176 in Mecadona block and Chick pea Variety NBeG-3 in Ramapuram block of the district and record the feedback information of farmers.

Profitable rabi crops in red sandy loam soils of north-coastal zone of Andhra Pradesh, India

Field studies were conducted at Agricultural Research Station (ARS), Vizianagaram in red sandy loam soils during rabi 2017-18 with different crops viz., finger millet (variety, Sri Chaitanya), horse gram (variety, VZM-1) and sunnhemp (variety, SH-4). Cost economics was worked out to study the suitability of different rabi crops based on their profitability.

Bio-efficacy studies of quinalphos 25% EC against insect pests of red gram

The investigation on, “Bio Efficacy of Quinalphos 25 % EC Against Insect Pests of Red Gram” was conducted at Instructional Farm and Department of Entomology, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur during kharif 2016 and 2017. The red gram variety “ICPL-87” was sown to record the different insect pests population and bioefficacy of quinalphos 25 EC against the pod borer and pod fly population.

Relational analysis of profile of beneficiaries of BDN-711 (Red gram Variety) and its socio economic impact

The present investigation was conducted in Parbhani district of Marathwada region in Maharashtra State. The main objective of the study was relationship between profile of beneficiaries of BDN-711 variety of red gram and its impact. The data were collected through personal interview with the help of interview schedule by contacting 120 beneficiaries.
