To evaluate the treatment results of combined blue light (415 nm wavelength) and red light (633 nm wavelength) therapy for patients with severe acne vulgaris. Subjects and methods: A pre-post comparative interventional study on 30 patients with severe acne vulgaris, examined and treated at the National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology from July 2022 to June, 2023.

In this paper, oxidation of red methyl (MR) - an azo in dye by UV / H2O2 was studied. The effect of solution volume and initial concentration was studied. Under optimal conditions, project a UV light through the bottom of the solution containing MR. The rate of color change is proportional to the increase of H2O2 concentration. After 50 minutes, the decolorization effect with 16 ppm H2O2 is 38%, slightly higher than the content of 14 ppm H2O2.

This study presents an implementation of an intelligent traffic light control system for a crossroads based on combination of image processing and fuzzy controller. After certain seconds of red light, traffic densities are estimated from captured images. Based on this estimated result, a fuzzy controller determines the length of the next green light period in order to generate longer period for higher density road, vice versa.

The photocatalytic oxidation of reactive blue 2 and reactive red 120 has been studied by using TiO2 Degussa P25 as catalyst and UV-light. The formation of intermediate molecules could be predicted on the basic of point charge calculations on all the individual atoms of the dyes. The agreement between calculations from quantum theory and the results of experiments was the background to establish a pathway for degradation of reactive dyes. A plausible mechanism of dye photodegradations is discussed.

Phytochromes are photoreceptor proteins that monitor the light environ-ment and regulate a variety of photomorphogenic responses to optimize the growth and development of plants. Phytochromes comprise N-terminal photosensory and C-terminal regulatory domains. They are mutually pho-toconvertible between a red-light-absorbing (Pr) and a far-red-light-absorb-ing (Pfr) form. Their interconversion by light stimuli initiates downstream signaling cascades.

For a variety of coral species, we have studied the molecular origin of their coloration to assess the contributions of host and symbiont pigments. For the corals Catalaphyllia jardineiand an orange-emitting color morph of Lobophyllia hemprichii, the pigments belong to a particular class of green fluorescent protein-like proteins that change their color from green to red upon irradiation with400 nm light.
