Based on the above practice, this author conducted a study on the experience of several countries around the world in term of using Carbon taxes to reduce CO2 emissions and promote the sustainable development of enterprises. On this basis, this article proposes a number of suggestions for issuing Carbon tax, thus ensuring the sustainable development of Vietnamese enterprises.

Limestone is used very commonly as a mineral admixture in the production of blended Portland cement because of its availability and low cost. Since using limestone reduces the amount of clinker used, it helps to reduce CO2 emission from the cement production process. Limestone is added into cement commonly by intergrinding with clinker, gypsum and other admixtures (if any).

The surging rate of CO2 emission in the past few years has raised concerns on environmental security for the government and Vietnamese citizens. Rising demands for social development, economic and population growth, enhancing standards of living require the use of energy and possibly increasing carbon dioxide emission, having direct impacts on the environment and human health. Hence, it is necessary to have different analyses assessing the degree of influences on each factor causing CO2 emitted and appropriate approaches to effectively control and reduce the carbon emission.

Research on landfill gases (LFGs) collection mainly consisting of CH4 and CO2 gases, is not only a solution to decrease environmental risks but also to utilize and generate an alternative clean power source of coal. Many typical landfill cases in Vietnam, which install a recovery system and remove captured CH4 by the flaring methods, are able to contribute to reducing significantly greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions with roughly 0.25 tCO2–eq/tons being equivalent to 7.8 million tons of CO2–eq/year.

The study finds significant positive impact of non-renewable energy consumption (NRNC), GDP and labor force on CO2 emission. Renewable energy consumption (RNC) has negative impact on CO2 emission. As RNC causes reducing CO2 emission in the sample ASEAN economies, the study suggests the policy makers to inductee effective policies to encourage the generation of renewable energy and its uses across ASEAN economies. While the generation of non-renewable energy should be discouraged as it promotes CO2 emission.

The main objective of the study is to explore government expenditure, CO2 emission and manufacturing output in one model. These comprehensive literature reviews related to this topic of interest prove evidence upon variations towards the causality relationship that exists between government expenditure, CO2 emission and manufacturing output. Most of past literatures had studied on the relationship of these variables, however separately.

The purpose of this research is to explore the association among energy, environment and economic growth in Latin-American countries from 1990- 2014 by using multivariate Structure. This study used number of co-integration techniques to confirm log run relationship among environment, and energy. The study findings also show the effect of the energy on environment in the long run by using FMOLS and DOLS. In addition, this research also employed the causality test to study the causal relation among the variables.

The environmental quality of any country is heavily depending on the rule of law. The Saudi government targets and achieves many transformations to reduce the fossil energy and to shift to cleaner production. To achieve a cleaner environment, the law and order is very important factor. Therefore, we scrutinize the role of rule of law on the CO2 emissions of Saudi Arabia using the period 1996-2014.

At present, the global climate change is one of the biggest challenges in front of human race which results mainly from global warming due to an increased concentration of green house gases in the atmosphere. Among the major green house gases, Carbon dioxide and methane contribute maximum toward the global warming. To mitigate the global climate change the reduction in emission of green house gases is necessary. Microorganisms play a crucial role in the regulation and utilization of these gases.

Biomass from food crops not a good option due to demand of food. Lignocellulosic feed stocks are residues of food crop and forestry waste. This makes researchers to focus on the conversion of feed stock to useful green fuels and other flat form chemicals. This present paper briefly reviews the conversion of lignocellulosic material conversion to furfural and furfuryl alcohol by hydrolysis process.

Marine fisheries of India has been witnessed with substantial increase of fishing effort and fishing efficiency during the last five decades which resulted in overexploitation of fish stocks together with the increase of fossil fuel burning and CO2 emission into the atmosphere. The present study covered three important fishing harbours of Kerala to reveal an estimation of CO2 footprint (considering the emission of CO2 only during the fishing operation) by the mechanised fishing trawlers which showed a considerable higher value than the previous studies.
