Research on health resource allocation trends in ethnic minority and impoverished areas in China is limited since the 2009 Medical Reform. This study aimed to investigate the variations and inequalities in health resource distribution among ethnic minority, poverty-stricken, and non-minority regions in Sichuan Province, a multiethnic province in Southwest China, from 2009 to 2019.

This study used ethnographical research in a small province in the central region of Thailand and was conducted from May 2012 to January 2013. The key informants consisted of 8 dentists and 14 dental hygienists. The research methods were in-depth interviews, observations, and group discussions. Content analysis was applied and the results were considered based on the concept of health equity.

This paper discusses that kids are involved by multiple discourses and, in a way, they understand how they face stereotypes in society and the political issues proposed by the school pedagogical practice. Primarily observations indicate that confrontations take place on daily basis when conservative children, families and educators face the new progressive ideas proposed by the school curriculum, they are normally related to stagnated hierarchies (and consequently inequalities) on gender, race, ethnicity, profession, etc.

There are multiple approaches to understanding the magnitude of health inequities and what contributes to them. This report will primarily focus on analysing available quantitative data and applying new statistical methods to determine the magnitude of health inequities in South-East Asia, as well as unpacking the contribution of factors to such inequities. The latter will, in principle, assist policy-makers in identifying priority areas for action with respect to reducing health inequities.

This article shows that the allocation of rare resources by collective decision-making procedures can cause inequity and inefficiency. By applying the model of Analysis benefit incidence in basic education, there is evidence that the allocation of public resources for basic education in Cameroon is a source of reproduction of inequalities and generates a social selectivity in the sense that the volume of public investment is not correlated with different levels of education on the one hand, enrolment and poverty rates by region, on the other hand.

The Constitution of Nepal as Federal Democratic Republic was promulgated on September 20, 2015 by the second CA. The primary objective of this study is to review the modality presented in the new constitution on the natural resources, economic rights and revenue allocation. The study finds that the fiscal decentralization initiatives have not been successful in minimizing the political, social, economic, regional and ethnic inequalities inherent for nearly 240 years of a unitary system of governance in Nepal.

This paper presents a new methodology for the modeling and control of power systems based on an uncertain polytopic linear parameter-varying (LPV) approach using parameter set mapping with principle component analysis (PCA). An LPV representation of the power system dynamics is generated by linearization of its differential-algebraic equations about the transient operating points for some given specific faults containing the system nonlinear properties. The time response of the output signal in the transient state plays the role of the scheduling signal that is used to construct the LPV model.

This study analyzes the sources of income inequality among ethnic minorities in the Northwest region—the poorest and highest inequality region of Vietnam. Using an analysis of Gini decomposition by income source, the results show that while agricultural income, notably crop income, considerably decreases income inequality, off-farm income sources (wage and non-farm self-employment incomes) are found to increase inequality.

This publication sheds light on the issue of decentralisation in Mexico. It shows that decentralisation can make decision-making more efficient and increase local participation in development issues. Decentralisation can provide a better framework to improve local infrastructure and to channel the necessary finance from public and private sources. The modernisation of infrastructure systems in Mexico's cities and regions would improve the quality of life and stimulate economic development, thus fostering entrepreneurship and employment.
