  • Experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of some culture media on the vegetative growth of Bipolaris sorokiniana. Five (5) treatment combinations each with three replications were employed. Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) showed highest radial growth (6.7cm) after 9th day of observation followed by V8 juice agar (6.3cm). Oat Meal Agar showed lowest radial growth (4.6cm) for UBS-1 strain of B. sorokiniana.

  • Thiamethoxam25 % WG is a second neonicotinoid with highly systemic and broad spectrum insecticide used against sucking pests of vegetables in India. Thiamethoxam residues were quantified through regular sampling till the residues are below determination level (BDL) of 0.05 mg kg−1 following the validated QuEChERS method. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of thiamethoxam was performed on LC- MS/MS(PDA).

  • The present study was conducted in Maheswarammandal of Ranga Reddy district, Telangana. A total of 120 farm women who engaged in farming were selected through purposive random sampling technique. The results revealed that majority (53.33%) of the farm women belonged to the age group of young age i.e., 18-35 years were married (86.67%) and 31.67% had completed their high school education and farm women were having below 10 years of work experience (38.33%).

  • The present investigation was conducted to study the effects of different housing systems on growth performance, feed consumption, morbidity and mortality of broiler rabbits in semi arid region of North Gujarat. Total 24 weaned rabbits (28 days age) were randomly divided in two housing treatments, T1 (Cage housing) and T2 (Deep litter housing system). The duration of experiment was 8 weeks. Dimensions of cage were 3×2×2 feet (3 rabbits/cage) whereas, in deep litter, 12 rabbits were kept in 24 square feet area (2 square feet/rabbit).
