  • This paper investigates the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) and corruption on the environmental pollution in Tunisia over the period 1984- 2014 by applying an autoregressive distributed lag model. Our results revealed the existence of Environmental Kuznets Curve in Tunisian case. The pollution haven hypothesis postulates that polluting industrial activity in developed countries is shifting to developing countries with less stringent environmental regulations. This hypothesis has been proved. Hence, this study advises to make more aware to the negative effect of corruption.

  • Argonaute proteins are highly conserved in almost all organisms. They not only involve in the biogenesis of small regulatory RNAs, but also regulate gene expression and defend against foreign pathogen invasion via small RNA-mediated gene silencing pathways.   • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between carbon dioxide (CO2 ) emissions, foreign direct investment (FDI), income per capita and energy consumption (EC) in the capital of Vietnam from 1990 to 2015. The empirical results indicate that EC is a major contributor of environmental degradation while FDI marginally contribute to the current status. Moreover, a one-way causality is found to be running from carbon dioxide (CO2 ) emissions, EC, FDI to income in the long-run.

The study showed, based on a dual approach, theoretical and empirical, that the exchange regulation in force in Morocco is broadly consistent with the scope of operation of the foreign forex under a flexible exchange rate regime.

  • This study empirically examines the correlation among the returns of six select Asian stock market indices of India, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan. The study is conducted over a longer time period of 2000 – 2012. The correlation results provide useful information for foreign institutional investors, portfolio managers, regulators, and policy makers in designing appropriate strategies to maximize risk adjusted returns.
