Relative water supply

Edible dormice have to accumulate an adequate amount of body fat before hibernation. Because young dormice are born late in the season, they have a relatively short time for prehibernation fattening. The aim of our study was a) to determine what body mass juveniles reach prior to hibernation, and b) to examine patterns of mass gain in juvenile dormice with unlimited food supply. Dormice were kept in outdoor cages, fitted with wooden boxes and with the floor covered with soil suitable for hibernation. They were provided with water and fed ad libitum.

Evaporative cooling system is one of the cooling techniques, but the limitation is that cooling can be done up to wet bulb temperature only, so a study has been taken up to design, develop a two-stage evaporative cooling system. Cooling performance of twostage indirect/direct evaporative cooling system was experimentally investigated. For this purpose, a two-stage evaporative cooling experimental setup consisting of an indirect cooling stage (IDC) followed by a direct evaporative cooling stage (DEC) was designed, constructed and tested.

Saigon River is a major river system and plays an important role in the economic and social development of the Southern key economic region. This paper studies the relationship between canals and the Saigon River. Water quality monitoring data was collected at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, with 10 parameters (temperature, pH, DO, turbidity, TSS, COD, BOD5, NNH4, P-PO4, coliform) calculated in the period 2007-2016.

Although Egypt has already reached the water poverty limit, it possesses a high potential of brackish groundwater available from different aquifers. All Arab countries lie in the best sun-belt region in the world and Egypt has the highest number of sun hours all year round. Solar energy for groundwater desalination is an independent infinite energy resource; it has low running costs and reduces the contribution of greenhouse gases (GHG) to global warming.

The aim of this research was to determine the irrigation performance of Sarigöl, Bag, and Üzüm Water User Associations (WUAs) in the vicinity of Sarigöl and Alaflehir using remote sensing techniques. For this purpose, the performance of the irrigation system for the 2004 irrigation season (May to September) was determined according to 5 indicators, namely overall consumed ratio (ep), relative water supply (RWS).

This paper focuses primarily on application considerations for topping cogeneration cycles. For comparative purposes Figure 1 illustrates energy utilization effectiveness (the percent of total energy output from the cycle which is useful heat and/or power) for a typical non-reheat coal- fired utility/industrial plant configuration (three-stage feed water heating with steam conditions of 1450 psig / 950°F [101 bar / 510°C] steam conditions vs. a cogeneration facility utilizing the same fired boiler but with a non-condensing steam turbine generator that supplies steam to process.
