To demonstrate the new production technologies to farmers the front line demonstration is very important tool. Growing cucurbitaceous vegetables on river-beds or river basins constitute a distinct type of farming. River bed cultivation is a kind of vegetable forcing is being used in India facilitating off season production of cucurbitaceous vegetables, where cucurbits are grown in the river beds during winter season.

Crop diversification with resource efficient and remunerative cropping systems is a sustainable agricultural practice. On farm demonstrations with diversified cropping system of Redgram + soybean Vis-a-Vis farmers’ practice of sole cotton were conducted in ten farmer’s locations of Warangal district of Telangana state. Crop diversification with red gram + soybean realized 29.9% higher (3706 kg ha-1 ) mean cotton kapas equivalent yield over farmer’s practice of cultivation of sole cotton (2852 kg ha-1 ). Mean technology and extension gap were 594 kg ha-1 and 854 kg ha-1 respectively.

The present investigation was undertaken with view to study cost and returns in rain-fed maize farmers of tribal area of Central Gujarat. Multistage stratified sampling method was adopted for sample design. A sample of 240 maize farmers were selected from 12 selected villages of six selected talukas of three tribal districts. Techniques such as, percentage and ratios, mean, standard deviation and t-test were employed. Standard farm management cost and returns concepts were used to estimate various costs and returns.

The present investigation was undertaken during Kharif 2018 at the college of Agriculture, Vijayapura, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (Karnataka). The objective of this study was to study the effect of different vegetables intercrops on growth, yield and economics of sweet corn and vegetable intercropping systems. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with three replications and ten treatments. These ten treatments comprised of sweet corn as a base crop and fenugreek, spinach, Amaranthus and dill as intercrops.
