Nutrient intake during adolescence is of critical importance because this period is characterized by an exceptionally rapid rate of growth. The poor nutritional status of adolescents, especially girls, has important implications in terms of physical work capacity and adverse reproductive outcomes.

The virulence of and reproduction capacity of six entomopathogenic nematode strains of species Steinernema longicaudum (Rhabditida: Steinernematidae) to second stage larvae of mealworm Tenebrio molitor (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) was evaluated under laboratory conditions.

The maternally inherited mitochondrial genome encodes key proteins of the electron transfer chain, which produces the vast majority of cellular ATP. Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) present in the mature oocyte acts as a template for all mtDNA that is replicated during development to meet the specific energy requirements of each tissue.

The source of multipotent stromal cells (MSC) can have a significant influence on the health and expansion capacity of the cells. As the applications for allogeneic MSCs in the treatment of feline diseases increase, the location of the initial donor tissue must be analyzed.

Reproductive capacity can be altered by challenges experienced during critical periods of development, including fetal development and early neonatal life. Gossypol is a polyphenolic compound, commonly found in cotton seeds, that impairs male reproduction.

Caucasian clover (Trifolium ambiguum M. Bieb.) is a strongly rhizomatous, low-crowned perennial leguminous and ground-covering grass. The species may be used as an ornamental plant and is resistant to cold, arid temperatures and grazing due to a well-developed underground rhizome system and a strong clonal reproduction capacity.

Endometriosis can be associated with considerable pain and sterility. After surgical excision of moderate or severe endometriosis lesions, the rate of recurrence reaches up to 67%. The objective of this retrospective study was to establish the recurrence and pregnancy rates following surgical resection of stage III/IV endometriosis lesions.

To investigate the water-deficit tolerance, 3 cotton genotypes (Bunny Bt, Pratima and Anjali.) were grown under normal irrigation and water-deficit conditions. Moisture is a key factor affecting growth and yield of Cotton in which stress is the most important factor limiting crop productivity due to adverse effect on fruit production, square/boll shedding and lint yield as well as fiber quality properties of Cotton. If water supply is limited during boll development it could result in significantly lower yields. In this study stress imposed with four watering treatments viz.

It is difficult to predict the reproductive capacity of children given hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) before pubertal age because the plasma concentrations of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) are not informative and no spermogram can be done.

Numerous studies have identified specific body systems affected by the hazardous effects of the cigarette smoking particularly the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. The effect of smoking on male reproduction has also been studied where semen quality was investigated in different cross-sectional studies including infertile patients with conflicting results. This article aimed to assess the relationship between smoking and male infertility.

A total of 43 isolates of entomopathogenic nematodes of Vietnam were assessed on reproduction capacity in the last instar larvae of great wax moth (Galleria mellonella). The total yield of infective juveniles (IJs) on the Galleria mellonella were varied between indigenous isolates with significant different of multiplication. The amounts of IJs were produced in each Galleria from several thousands to hundreds thousands. These were shown a great difference of the reproduction capacity between indigenous isolates/species of entomopathogenic nematodes.

This paper describes the egg-laying behavior and reproduction capacity of Anisopteromalus calandrae in laboratory conditions. Anisopteromalus calandrae lay eggs only on the Lasioderma serricorne larvae hiden inside of grains or nests. The maximum lifespan of A. calandrae females was 32 days when they were kept with of aqua feed flour plus honey (30%) and infested with larvae of Lasioderma serricorne.

Notions of Inter-Viewing, viewing into, and viewing ourselves occupy the center of this publication. Kathleen Biddick opens the work of the medievalist on a note of enjoyment, including the capacity to incite curiosity and wonder. On the basis of an interview with Madeline Caviness, Biddick shows the person, the career, and the writing of Caviness in terms of “shattering,” “grafting,” and “queer performance.” One circle of essays considers a self-conscious assessment of critical theorizing.

The appropriate government may also constitute a State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR), to carry out these functions. It is important to note that several challenges related to infrastructure, capacities, mass information and awareness, teacher availability, training functional redressal mechanisms, and effective monitoring system will need to be addressed in a concerted manner to render these commitments effectively and ensure the realisation of the right of children in the age-group 6-14 years to free and compulsory education.

The technology-based Effluent Guidelines could not guarantee achievement of adequate water quality in all receiving waters, so permit writers were required to set even more stringent “water-quality-limited” standards for plants discharging into such water bodies. These standards necessarily depended on the current conditions of the receiving water body and its capacity to absorb waste. Also, the effluent limitations for any firm affected and were affected by the effluent limitations on all other firms. The front-line administration of this program—i.e.

Uterine myomas are the most common benign tumors in women, affecting 20%–50% of reproductive age population. Myomas cause significant morbidity and are the single most common indication for hysterectomy in the United States, representing a major personal and public health concern worldwide. Recent research on the cellular and molecular biology of myomas has enabled us to understand better the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of this tumor, but more remains to be done.

Alignment and harmonization of sexual and reproductive health The 6 years since the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness (4) have marked a significant change in awareness of the importance of coordination of resources for health and development – though reviews of progress at the Accra Agenda for Action in 2008 (4) suggested that there was a need for a greater shift towards alignment with government policies and national systems (such as monitoring and procurement) than had already occurred.
