Mushroom cultivation is one of the efficient ways by which residues can be recycled and also improve food supply with high food quality to the humans. Cultivation of shiitake mushroom has increased tremendously throughout the world because of its abilities to grow at a wide range of temperature and utilized various agro-based residues as well as its medicinal value.

Recycling shrimp farming water is a way to address the trend toward a circular economy in Vietnam's coastal regions while also reducing the quantity of effluent that is released into the environment. In order to explore the potential for waste recycling, this study investigates the pond system of a highly intense Littopenaeus vannamei culture area in Ca Mau province.

Due to rapid industrialization and modernization, a large number of both fly ash (FA) and ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS), both by-products from thermal power plants and steel factories, are increasing day by day. Thus, recycling these industrial wastes to produce lightweight foamed concrete (LFC) was investigated in this study.

Sugarcane bagasse has been proposed as a lignocellulosic residue for second-generation ethanol (2G) produced by breaking down biomass into fermentable sugars. The enzymatic cocktails for biomass degradation are mostly produced by fungi, but low cost and high efficiency can consolidate 2G technologies. A. fumigatus plays an important role in plant biomass degradation capabilities and recycling.

Rice residues are important natural resources, and recycling of these residues improves the soil physical, chemical and biological properties. Management of rice straw is a major challenge as it is considered to be a poor feed for the animals due to high silica content. A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural Research Station, Bhavanisagar during 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 to review the suitable rice residue management practices and nutrient dynamics by using combine harvester operated rice field after cultivating rice.

The study was carried out to investigate the effect of organic manures and chemical fertilizers on the yield of rice seed (Oryza sativa) during kharif 2015 at the Central Research Station in Farming System Research, OUAT, Bhubaneswar in a Randomised Block Design with 3 replications and 8 treatments having rice variety “Lalat ”. From the experiment result, it was observed that the application of 100% NPK+25 Kg ZnSO4 (T7) produced the highest number of grain/panicle, 1000 grain wt.

Microorganisms play important roles in the recycling of agricultural wastes. Composting is the degradation of organic materials through the activities of diverse microorganisms. The compost generated by bioconversion of agro-residues offers several benefits such as enhanced soil fertility and soil health which can lead to increased agricultural productivity, improved soil biodiversity, reduced ecological risks and a healthier environment. This investigation examined the microbial community dynamics, loads and identification of microbiota at various stages of composting process.

In India, agriculture production is a backbone of Indian economy, but in recent past agriculture in gross domestic product is declining 14%, average size of land holding is gradually decrease 85% of the farming community. Under the continuing decrease of land holding, horizontal extension of land is not possible. For this reason, vertical integration of farm enterprises will make farming more cost-effective and reliable.

Major rice-wheat growing soils of Upper Gangetic Plains, India were studied and evaluated by considering soil-site characteristics by using qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative method employed were USDA land capability classification and land suitability classification, while the quantitative evaluation method includes Riquier's parametric approach. The land evaluation methods indicated that information on production potential of soils provide a basis for comparison among different soils.

This section illustrates that MBT systems can be described as two simple concepts: either to separate the waste and then treat; or to treat the waste and then separate. In some systems only biological treatment is required to treat all the residual MSW before disposal to landfill. Whilst a variety of treatment and mechanical separation options are offered, these need to be optimised in terms of the outputs in order to find outlets for the various materials / fuels derived from the process (see Markets for the Outputs section). ...

Aryl-alcohol oxidase provides H2O2 for lignin biodegradation, a key pro-cess for carbon recycling in land ecosystems that is also of great biotechno-logical interest. However, little is known of the structural determinants of the catalytic activity of this fungal flavoenzyme, which oxidizes a variety of polyunsaturated alcohols.
