This paper proposes a lefthanded circularly polarized (LHCP) 2×4 array antenna using sequential phase rotation power dividers at 5.8 GHz band. The element antenna is a square patch antenna with a slit in the middle for better impedance matching, six trapezoidal parasitic patches added to either side of the main patch to create resonance at high frequencies, and a metasurface placed on top of the main patch.

Surface resonance is a sound and tactile sensation research project. Through compositions and an installation, author focused on felt and heard vibration, how they are perceived and how they contribute to the experience of sound. The author this paper explored vibration as a product of low frequency (bass) sound, drawing inspiration from musical contexts where sensation from sound is emphasised.

The analytical expression for the self-Kerr nonlinear coefficient in a three-level V-type atomic medium is found in the presence of the Doppler effect. Based on the analytical results, we have analyzed the enhancement and control of the Kerr nonlinear coefficient under the condition of electromagnetically induced transparency. It is shown that the Kerr nonlinear coefficient is significantly enhanced around the resonant frequency of both the probe and coupling fields.

Manipulating light by subwavelength resonators via plasmonic metasurface is currently studied intensively for various novel THz and optical applications. In this report, we present the fabrication of a simple plasmonic metasurface operating at infrared frequencies using the UV lithography and electron beam evaporation techniques.

Sum frequency generation (SFG) spectra of cotton cellulose fibers were successfully obtained with IR wavenumber from 2800 to 3400 cm-1 . The spectra showed the two peaks at 2840 cm-1 and 2941 cm-1 assigned to symmetric and asymmetric CH2 stretching modes, respectively. There was also a peak obtained at wavenumber 2959 cm-1 assigned to the overtone of H-O-C bending at Fermi resonance with 2941 cm-1 peak.

In our recent work, we have theoretically shown that a broad negative permeability band can be achieved by introducing hybridized meta-materials [N. T. Tung et al., Appl. Phys. Express 5, 112001 (2012)]. To step forward an experimental realization of the above proposal, evaluating the loss contribution at resonant frequencies is indispensable. In this report, we study the metallic and dielectric losses that directly influence the strength of permeability negativity at microwave regime. The results show that the dielectric loss plays a decisive role in forming the meta-material hybridization.

The theoretical analysis of MTSM has been developed to model and simulate the signature of the sensor responses at harmonic frequencies. The signatures of the evaporation- induced deposition processes were investigated by studying the effect of the thickness and stiffness of the medium.

In Design of high density transformers for high frequency high power converters, the abovementioned issues of high-frequency transformers are explored, particularly in regards to high-power converter applications. Loss calculations accommodating resonant operating waveform and Litz wire windings are explored. Leakage inductance modeling for large-number-of-stand Litz wire windings is proposed. The optimal design procedure based on the models is developed.

Resonance Raman spectroscopy has been used to observe changes in the iron–ligand stretching frequency in photo-product spectra of the proximal cavitymutant ofmyoglobin H93G. The measurements compare the deoxy ferrous state of the heme iron in H93G(L), where L is an exogenous imidazole ligand bound in the proximal cavity, to the pho-tolyzed intermediate of H93G(L)*CO at 8 ns.

MACHINE FEEDBACK DRIVE CONSIDERATIONS Machine Feed Drive Considerations for Resolver Feedback The usual configuration for resolver position feedback is to have the resolver geared to the servo drive motor. Computer-aided design programs for hydraulic drive sizing are based on the fact that the hydraulic resonance is the predominant resonance in the servo loop. With electric drives the mechanical time constant is not of prime consideration since it can be compensated for with the drive compensation....

NMR in solids, like solution-state, relies on the behavior of nuclear spin energy levels in a magnetic field. However, the interactions that affect NMR spectra act differently. In liquids, molecules reorient and diffuse quickly, leading to narrow isotropic resonances. In solids, the fixed orientation of individual crystallites leads to a range of resonance frequencies for anisotropic interactions.

NMR is an experiment in which the resonance frequencies of nuclear magnetic systems are investigated. NMR always employs some form of magnetic field (usually a strong externally applied field B0) NMR is a form of both absorption and emission spectroscopy, in which resonant radiation is absorbed by an ensemble of nuclei in a sample, a process causing detectable emissions via a magnetically induced electromotive force.

Physical measurement dimensions, such as temperature or pressure and tensile forces, can affect glass fibres and locally change the characteristics of light transmission in the fibre. As a result of the damping of the light in the quartz glass fibres through scattering, the location of an external physical effect can be determined so that the optical fibre can be employed as a linear sensor. Light scattering, also known as Raman scattering, occurs in the optical fibre.
