Ebook "Iron nutrition in plants and rhizospheric microorganisms" provides comprehensive reviews on topics of plant-iron nutrition that are being addressed by different laboratories around the world. As one can see, the area of plant-iron nutrition is highly interdisciplinary, involving scientists of various fields of knowledge. Plant biologists are needed to characterize iron translocation throughout the plant following root iron uptake and to examine the regulation of iron-stimulated activities that influence crop yield and quality.

The rhizosphere microorganisms can form beneficial, pathogenic, or neutral relationships. These relationships can promote plant growth and productivity. Among them, a number of Variovorax isolates from the rhizosphere were isolated. Bacteria Variovorax strain C6d (AB552893) was isolated from the non axenic culture of Chlorella spp., C6.

Microorganisms in the rhizosphere soil play a key role in maintaining the soil fertility, which is a key for successful crop production to meet the increasing global food demand. The aims of this study were to boost growth attributes, yield and nutrient uptake of rice by different treatment combination of plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPB) and NPK fertilizer doses.

In the present study, microalgal biomass (Anabeana circinalis and Scenedesmus quadricauda) was used as biofertilizer in cucumber cultivation. The response of cucumber growth characters to microalgal biofertilizer was evaluated. Moreover, rhizosphere microbial diversity and community composition of cucumber was analyzed through 16S rRNA high-throughput Illumina sequencing data. The results showed that microalgal biomass as biofertilizer significantly promoted height, number of leaves and flower buds, and stem diameter of cucumber. The application of a high concentration of S.

Microorganisms are not only indispensable to ecosystem functioning, they are also keystones for emerging technologies. Investigation of metabarcoding data should be done with care. Correct biological interpretation depends on several factors, including in-depth sequencing of the samples, choice of the most appropriate filtering strategy for the specific research goal, and use of family level for data clustering.

The rhizosphere is part of the soil surrounding the plant roots or being influenced by the plant roots. The exudates released from roots make it a site for complex biochemical activity. Microorganisms make up one of the dynamic parts of this rhizosphere, and affect soil and plant growth by various means.

In the present study collected twenty (20) direct sown paddy rhizosphere soil samples from four districts of Andhra Pradesh and recorded their geographical position of collected soil samples. From that thirty two (32) Zinc Solubilizing Bacteria (ZnSB) isolated by using zinc phosphate [Zn3(PO4)2] as a insoluble source of zinc in the trismineral salts media. Zinc solubilizing isolates coded based on their soil sample collected geographical position, recorded the morphological, cultural characteristics of ZnSB.

A field experiment was conducted during kharif, 2017 at the Main Agricultural Research Station, agriculture college farm, Raichur to study the “Activity of soil enzyme and microorganisms in rhizosphere soil of maize (Zea mays L.) as influenced by different weed management practices”. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design with three replications and twelve treatments. It was evident that before sowing, the soil enzyme activity was on par in all the treatments.

The influence of two factors - "broomrape" and "soil type" on quantities of seven trophic groups of soil microorganisms (Autochthonous; Oligotrophic; Actinomycetes; Microscopic fungi; Ammonifying; Assimilating mineral nitrogen; Aerobic nitrogen-fixing bacteria of the genus Azotobacter) were determined. Soil samples for microbiological analysis were taken from the rhizosphere zone of plants in sunflower crops from two soil types (Haplic Vertisols and Chromic Cambisols), in phenological phases of sunflower and of broomrape - "flowering".

Plant growth promotion and biological control without deteriorating the environment and soil for sustainable agriculture has necessitated the exploration for microbial resources to replace the agrochemicals and fertilizers. Bacteria and fungi are widely distributed in the biosphere including the rhizosphere and help the plants by alleviating biotic and abiotic stress through diverse mechanisms and can be developed as bioinoculants for biocontrol and plant growth promoting activities.
