Xem 1-10 trên 10 kết quả Rice crop in Inceptisol
  • Studying the dynamics of soil organic carbon (SOC) is important for understanding the carbon stabilization into different pools. Thus, a 25-year old experiment was used to assess the impact of double rice cropping system with addition of organics and grades of fertilization on labile carbon pools and crop yield sustainability in an Inceptisol in southern India. The total water stable aggregates (WSA) in the experimental soils ranged from 70.4 to 94.9% under different treatments.

  • On the basis of soil test value of farmer field, fertilizer prescription equations are essential to demonstrate the effectiveness of technology delivery to the stake holders in need. The present study was conducted at Bhojpur to evaluate the model through field experiments in Eastern zone of Uttar-Pradesh. The treatments included control, general recommendation dose, farmer practice, soil test crop response STCR based fertilizer dose for an yield target of 4.5 and 5.0 t ha-1 .

  • Two pot experiment was conducted at Instructional Farm of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Raigarh (C.G.) during Kharif season, 2015 for identification of yield limiting nutrients through crop response in Vertisol and Inceptisol of Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh with rice (MTU-1010) as test crop. The experiments were laid out in Completely Randomized Design with 11 treatments and 3 replications. Yield attributing characters viz. effective tillers, filled grains panicle-1 and grain and straw yields of rice in both soil types were significantly influenced by nutrient omission treatments.

  • The laboratory experiment was conducted at Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. In this experiment, the adsorption of nitrate onto soils of different cropping systems viz. rice-wheat(R-W), rice-vegetable (R-V), pulse-pulse (P-P) and sugarcane(S) was carried out in a batch equilibrium system. Surface soil samples were collected for adsorption study from each cropping system. Results showed that the adsorption isotherms were L- type (Langmuir type) in most of the soils.

  • A study was undertaken to characterize fine textured Inceptisols morphologically, physically and chemically. Seven profiles in fine textured and four in coarse textured Inceptisols under different cropping systems (rice-wheat, maize-wheat, sugarcane, fallow-berseem and rice-sorghum) were exposed for the morphological, physical and chemical characterization. The soils showed remarkable closeness irrespective of profile locations and horizons. All the studied soils exhibited A-Bw-C horizons in coarse textured Inceptisols and A-B horizons in fine textured Inceptisols.

  • Cultural management practices in relay (paira /utera) grass pea (Lathyrus sativa L.) on rice-fallows may intensify pulse production in the Eastern Ingo-Gangetic plains, but choice to be made, requires assessment of appropriate rice stubble and micro nutrient management. A field experiment was conducted at the Central Research Farm of the Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, the State Agricultural University, Gayeshpur, India (220 58/N latitude; 880 31/ E longitude; 9.

  • The decline in the rice crop responses to applied fertilizer nutrients, inter alia, could be ascribed to emerging nutrient deficiencies on account of modern era of agriculture and inadequate or imbalanced application of fertilizers. It has become increasingly recognized around the world that N, P and K fertilizers alone are not always sufficient to provide balanced nutrition for optimal rice yields and quality, therefore, application of secondary and micronutrient elements has to be made.
