Rietveld refinement

In this work, we were successfully synthesized Na2Ti3O7 material by solid state reaction method which used NaOH and TiO2 as the precursors. Structural and morphological characterization of synthesized materials were confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

The thermal activation energy of 0.31 eV obtained for Ca0.88Gd0.05TiO3:0.07Eu3+ suggested an appreciable stability against thermal quenching due to the cross-over process. The color parameters, luminescence lifetime, JuddeOfelt parameters and radiative properties have been fairly discussed.

YNU-5 (YFI type) is the first zeolite reported with interconnected 12-, 12-, and 8-ring pores showing a remarkable catalytic potential towards the dimethyl ether (DME)-to-olefin reaction. In this work, the structures of the as-synthesized, calcined and dealuminated YNU-5 zeolites, were investigated by various techniques with special emphasis on advanced electron microscopy methods.

The removal of Sr, Cd, and Pb from nuclear and industrial waste is important as these are harmful to living organisms and the environment. Immobilization of these ions in a zeolite framework is a simple and suitable method. However, zeolites are easily dehydrated at high temperatures.

The paper describes methods for the preparation of compounds with an apatite structure containing only iodine atoms in the “halogen” position. The crystal structure of the compounds was refined by the Rietveld method. The resulting apatites have a structure with a space group P63 /m and have the following unit cell parameters. The study of the crystal structure showed a relatively low efficiency of the binding of iodine in the apatite matrix.

Nghiên cứu tập trung khảo sát cấu trúc tinh thể, hình thái và tính chất điện hóa của vật liệu olivine LiFePO4 tổng hợp bằng phương pháp thủy nhiệt, sau quá trình oxy hóa điện hóa và sau khi đan cài ion Na+. Cấu trúc và hình thái vật liệu được khảo sát bằng các phương pháp nhiễu xạ tia X (XRD), kính hiển vi điện tử quét (SEM) và phổ tán xạ Raman. Kết quả thu được từ phương pháp Rietveld Refinement từ giản đồ XRD của LiFePO4 cho hệ số χ2 nhỏ (2,32%), điều này chứng tỏ cấu trúc của vật liệu này được tổng hợp bằng phương pháp thủy nhiệt sạch, không có tạp chất.

A dynamic nanoindentation method was applied to study an Fe-18 at.% Gd alloy as a neutron-absorbing material prepared by vacuum arc-melting and cast in a mold. The Fe-18 at.% Gd cast alloy had a microstructure with matrix phases and an Fe-rich primary dendrite of Fe9Gd. Rietveld refinement of the X-ray spectra showed that the Fe-18 at.% Gd cast alloy consisted of 35.84 at.% Fe3Gd, 6.58 at.% Fe5Gd, 16.22 at.% Fe9Gd, 1.87 at.% Fe2Gd, and 39.49 at.% b-Fe17Gd2. The average nanohardness of the primary dendrite phase and the matrix phases were 8.7 GPa and 9.3 GPa, respectively.

Contributions of the phases in the coated samples as well as structural parameters were determined from XRD data using Rietveld refinement analysis. Magnetization of the core can be improved by adjusting the modification steps. XRD analysis result and SEM images revealed the formation of core/shell structure in the sample coated by using coprecipitation method.
