Robust stability

This study evaluates the relationship between foreign direct investment, current account, and economic growth in Vietnam. Using the VECM method, the research results have shown that FDI and current accounts positively affect Vietnam’s economic growth in both the short and long term. The novelty of this paper is that the authors have done the robustness test through the Bayesian stability test. Based on research results, we propose policy implications to minimize the negative effects of FDI inflows and make the most of this capital source for Vietnam's sustainable economic development.

Robustness and evolutionary stability of gene expression in the human genome are established by an array of redundant enhancers. Results: Using Hi-C data in multiple cell lines, we report a comprehensive map of promoters and active enhancers connected by chromatin contacts, spanning 9000 enhancer chains in 4 human cell lines associated with 2600 human genes.

In this paper, a class of uncertain switching time-delay systems with nonlinear perturbations is considered. The system parameter uncertainties are time-varying and unknown with norm-bounded. The delay in the system states is also time-varying. By using an improved Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, a state dependent switching rule for robust exponential stability is designed in terms of solution of Lyapunov-type equations and growth bound of perturbations. The approach allows for computation of the bounds that characterize the exponential stability rate of the solution.

The aim of the present paper is to give robust stability based on exponentially stable switched positive linear systems. Our theoretical analysis shows that if there exists a positive stable system of all positive subsystems, then a lower bound and upper bound for stability radius of the switched system under positive affine perturbations are established.

A robust synthesis of iridium oxide (IrO2) nanoclusters using methanol as a reducing agent via the chemical reduction method is reported in this article. Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and polyoxyethylene(23) lauryl ether (POLE) were used as stabilizers. The formation of IrO2 nanoclusters was confirmed by the appearance of new absorption peak at 230 nm in UV-vis spectra. XRD and TEM were used to determine the degree of crystallinity and size of nanoclusters, respectively.

A simple and reliable HPLC method was developed and validated for determination of rofecoxib in bovine serum albumin microsphere. The analyses were performed on a C18 column (150 x 4.6 mm, 5 µm particle size) at room temperature with UV detection at 272 nm. The mobile phase was composed of acetonitrile-0.1% o-phosphoric acid solution in water (1:1, v/v) mixture, and flow rate was set to 1 mL/min. The method was validated according to the international guidelines with respect to stability, linearity range, limit of quantitation and detection, precision, accuracy, specificity, and robustness.

This work deals with the control design and development of an automated car-following strategy that further increases robustness to vehicle dynamics uncertainties. The control algorithm is applied on a hierarchical architecture where high and low level control layers are designed for gap-control and desired acceleration tracking, respectively. This paper proposes a new modeling of a single-degree-of-freedom electrostatic suspension system working with large aspect ratio in which the fringing field is uncertain. Based on the model, an adaptive sliding mode control for position of the object is constructed. Robustness and global stability of the controller are proven by computer simulations of contactless suspension.

This paper presents an innovative robust control for power systems in which the operating conditions are changing continuously due to load changes. However, practical implementation of robust control can be fragile due to controller inaccuracies (tolerance of resistors used with operational amplifiers).
