  • This study evaluates the relationship between foreign direct investment, current account, and economic growth in Vietnam. Using the VECM method, the research results have shown that FDI and current accounts positively affect Vietnam’s economic growth in both the short and long term. The novelty of this paper is that the authors have done the robustness test through the Bayesian stability test. Based on research results, we propose policy implications to minimize the negative effects of FDI inflows and make the most of this capital source for Vietnam's sustainable economic development.

  • Clinical genomic testing is dependent on the robust identification and reporting of variant-level information in relation to disease. With the shift to high-throughput sequencing, a major challenge for clinical diagnostics is the cross-identification of variants called on their genomic position to resources that rely on transcript- or protein-based descriptions.

  • A robust evidence base is required to assist healthcare commissioners and providers in selecting effective and sustainable approaches to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment. Such evidence can be difficult to build, given the fast-paced and highly pressured nature of healthcare delivery, the absence of incentives, and the presence of barriers in conducting pragmatic yet robust research evaluations.

  • The VLSP 2021 is the eighth annual international workshop whose campaign was organized at the University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (UIT-VNU-HCM). This was the first time we organized the Speaker Verification shared task with two subtasks SV-T1 and SV-T2. SV-T1 focuses on the development of SV models with limited data, and SV-T2 focuses on testing the capability and the robustness of SV systems.

  • Major advances in genotyping technology have generated high-density maps of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers that provide an unprecedented opportunity to identify genes underlying complex traits. Several family-based statistical methods showing robust population stratification have been developed to test the association between multiple markers and disease-susceptibility genes.

  • This paper researches the affects of attitude and its antecedents toward entrepreneurship intention of students in various study fields at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. For this purpose, the paper adopted a part of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework, which is both well established in entrepreneurial intention research and has been shown to be robust cross-culturally. A survey method using a questionnaire in combination with multivariate data analysis (Cronbach Alpha test, EFA, CFA, SEM) are utilized.

  • The observation that disease-associated genetic variants typically reside outside of exons has inspired widespread investigation into the genetic basis of transcriptional regulation. While associations between the mRNA abundance of a gene and its proximal SNPs (cis-eQTLs) are now readily identified, identification of high-quality distal associations (trans-eQTLs) has been limited by a heavy multiple testing burden and the proneness to false-positive signals.
