Thematic maps present information relating to spatial variations in the distribution of specific geographical features at a regional scale or across the entire basin. The spatial distribution of thematic maps aids in decision-making of management of resources. Different thematic maps generated for the Kinnerasani basin include watershed boundary, drainage network, slope map, landuse/landcover map and soil map with the help of Survey of India topographical map and Cartosat DEM. LULC map was developed using IRS P6 LISS III satellite data.

The Bazman granitoid complex (BGC), including a large zoned pluton, intrudes into the upper Paleozoic sedimentary cover of the Lut block. It crops out on the southern slope of the Bazman volcano in Baluchestan Province of Iran. The intrusive rocks range from gabbro to various metaluminous to weakly peraluminous granites, and they are classified as I-type magmatic series.

Chamaesyce nutans (Lag.) Small (Euphorbiaceae) and Eleusine indica (L.) Gaertner (Poaceae) are described as new records for the flora of Lebanon. Specimens of C. nutans collected from roadsides and rocks in a middle mountain forest confirm the occurrence of the species on the western slopes of the Mount Lebanon Range.

Without knowing why, one hesitates to ask directions from the gnarled solitary figures spied now and then on crumbling doorsteps or on the sloping, rock-strewn meadows. Those figures are so silent and furtive that one feels somehow confronted by forbidden things, with which it would be better to have nothing to do. When a rise in the road brings the mountains in view above the deep woods, the feeling of strange uneasiness is increased.

The Voi Mep massif of the Truong Son range, having the highest peak in the Quang Tri area (1739m), is composed of granite and granodiorite intrusive rocks in Ben Giang-Que Son complex. This massif is fairly isometric with characteristic landforms comprising: remnants of old pediment surfaces, mountain slopes and valleys with steep profiles.
