Root volume density

A field experiment was conducted at Eastern Block Farm, Department of Agronomy, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore during kharif 2017 and 2018 (July to November) to identify the rooting pattern and productivity of maize under high density planting. The field experiment was laid out in randomized block design and replicated thrice. This study comprised of nine treatments which include four mixtures of spacings with one or two seedlings per hill and diverse fertilizer doses.
