Rural sector

This article aims to analyze the effectiveness of the support policies of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank) to support the private sector operating in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fisheries. By using the comparative method, the author has used two factors affecting the effectiveness of the above support policies, namely total outstanding loans and overdue loans.

The implementation of solutions by the banking sector, through green credit lines, to promote green production in enterprises is highly necessary. Based on practical experiences, this article examines the current status of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank of Vietnam (Agribank) in promoting green production within green credit and other related fields. It aims to evaluate and provide recommendations for promoting green production within the bank.

The article analyzes significant changes that have taken place in the development of the rural sector of Ukraine by sustainable supply chain development, which includes two components: agrarian (agriculture and technologically related industries) and rural areas (spatial base of production and resettlement of the population) of the second half of the last century. The article might inform the relevant stakeholders of the importance of engaging the locals in addressing energy issues. Failure to appreciate the importance of space for participation limits the understanding of rural people’s energy needs, and the significance of their views remains underestimated. It is therefore recommended that space for participation be created to allow social inclusion of the rural people in the energy sector.

Rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss, is an important fish in European freshwater aquaculture. This industry sector is dominated by small family-owned enterprises located in rural areas. A large percentage of rainbow trout produced by these small enterprises is marketed directly and killed on demand and not processed in commercial processing plants. EU and national regulations stipulate that fish shall be stunned prior to killing and slaughter.

Livestock sector plays an important role in the national economy and in the socioeconomic development of the country. Green fodder provides nutrients for milch animals at cheaper cost. Inspite of its importance, in the country, green fodder production has not been given proper place in the cropping pattern in providing proper nutrition to livestock. The study was conducted in district Saharanpur during 2014 to investigate the socioeconomic profiles of rural rice farmers. To this end, primary data was collected through structured questionnaire using a sample of size eighty allocating to four block selected purposively, each comprising two villages selected on the basis of proportional sampling technique. Rice farmers were found associated with agriculture sector. Major occupations were teaching and daily wage earners.
