Rural women entrepreneur

The technology approach to business can be a solution to obtain an efficient and innovative business process. This study aims to identify the role of information and communication technology to address the various business barriers of small business run by women in rural areas in Indonesia. The results of the study show that women entrepreneurs in rural areas of Indonesia are familiar with internetbased information technology, but only a small number have used it as a supportive instrument for business development.

The entitlements of women farmers will be the key to improve agriculture productivity, It said, even as it noted that there is an increasing number of women in multiple roles in agriculture sector, as cultivators entrepreneurs and laborers. To uplift the livelihood and financial conditions of the rural women value addition of minor millets can offer tremendous opportunity not only to income rather it increase national productivity and generates employment but also helps to develop economic independence and personal and social upliftment. Smt. Rathnamma is one such example who is from a small village named Gundamanatta in Srinivaspur Taluk of Kolar district. We have formed “Vaibhav Siridhanya Swasahaya Sanga” for processing of Minor Millets.

Rural women play a crucial role for the well being of their families. Without any glare of publicity, they contribute their best to the welfare and progress of the society. Entrepreneurship-development and income-generating activities are feasible solution for empowering the women. Most of the rural women indulge in stitching activities but due to lack of knowledge, in the technical know-how and latest designing techniques, they are unable to earn the remunerative income.
