  • Results show that, according to the linear regression analysis, regional annual rainfall is not much fluctuated, the rainy season and annual rainfall tend to decrease, while rainfall in the dry season tends to increase.   • The knowledge and information on the rainfall dynamics and its distribution over the cropping season are very important for selection of crop varieties and choice of cropping pattern. Block wise historical rainfall data of 24 years (1995 to 2018) of Cuttack District were collected and processed by using Weather cock software to estimate annual, seasonal and monthly rainfall.   • During the investigation sucking pest viz; white fly and jassid were appeared in 33 standard meteorological week and maximum population of whitefly (0.60 per plant) and jassid (0.40 per plant) was recorded in 37th SMW. Correlation with sucking pest (whitefly and jassid) population and meteorological parameters was found positive non significant association with evening relative humidity and minimum temperature but negative correlation with maximum temperature, morning relative humidity and rainfall.

  • In this study, analyzed the long-term changes in temperature and precipitation in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh to understand the climate change impact on regional weather. Current (2001-2010) and past (1984-2000) climatic scenario revealed that the region has experienced increase in maximum and minimum temperature. Temperatures in different seasons of the year viz. winter, spring, summer and autumn have shown increasing trends, whereas the precipitation in the form of rainfall decreased except in autumn season.

  • Rainfall data for the period 1957 - 2015 is used to analyze nakshatra-wise, monthly, seasonal and annual variability of rainfall. The analysis of daily rainfall data (1957-2015) indicates that the average annual rainfall for the Aurad region will be 830.5 mm. The lowest and highest recorded annual rainfall was 280.4 and 1337.7 mm respectively.

The present study shows the increase in southwest monsoon rainfall and decline in post monsoon rainfall for all the districts of south Gujarat.   • Assessment of bioclimatic conditions for outdoor tourism activities in Gia Lai province is conducted in two criteria: 1) Assessing the adaptability of territorial temperature-moisture conditions to the health of people participating in tourism activities by assessing the advantage of bioclimatic types on the bioclimatic map, scaled 1/100,000; the evaluation results show that all 11 bioclimatic types are very comfortable, that is, the bioclimatic conditions in the entire Gia Lai province are suitable for the health of participants in outdoor tourism activities.

  • The present study was carried out at the research farm of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sirsa during kharif 2014.
