To provide scientific data on biological characteristics, breeding techniques, nursing and grow-out of Helmet Catfish - Cranoglanis bouderius (Richardson, 1846) in culture condition of Nghe An province. The success of the thesis will greatly contribute the basic knowledge to develop the seed production technique that can help to support the seed resources for commercial culture models and gene resources conservation for this species.

Goal It is to provide scientific arguments about the biological characteristics, and reproductive and rearing techniques of Channa lucius. The success of the project will contribute greatly to the development process of Channa lucius hatchery to supply artificial fish for aquaculture systems and renewable fish resources in the wild in the Mekong Delta as well as in the whole country.

The collection of seed from planted trees in a Seed Orchard (SO) Seed Production Area (SPA) generally requires access to seed-bearing branches at heights. High lift machinery or climbing methods can be used to obtain required working heights. High lift machinery is the more efficient option, reducing the risks associated with climbing and chainsaw operation. In cases where high lift machinery is not available or too expensive, climbing is a viable option.
