Coriander is an annual herbaceous spice plant, a family member of Umbelliferae. In India it is grown in 4,47,000 ha area with annual production of 3,14,000 MT during 2013-14 (Anonymous, 2015). This data is shortening as compared to previous statistics with respect to production, this is because of current knowledge about its characteristic association and their effects is incomplete. To fulfill these gaps, an investigation was conducted during the 2014-15 at research farm in Hisar. Data for 11 quality traits were measured and statistically analysed.

The present investigation was conducted at College Farm, N. M. College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari during kharif - 2016 with a view to study the heterosis and inbreeding depression in five crosses (each having P1, P2, F1, F2, BC1 and BC2 generations) of cow pea through a compact family block design with three replications.

Induced mutations not only alter the plant genome but also affect the cellular component which leads to changes in seed germination to maturity traits. The aim of the present study was to investigate the somatic effect of chemical mutagen Ethyl Methane Sulphonate (EMS) on seed germination, shoot length, root length, plant photosynthetic pigments and nine yield attributing traits of two white seeded sesame varieties.

Inter relationship among yield and its attributes in cowpea can be studied through correlation and path analysis. In the current study, 102 Indian cowpea genotypes were evaluated based on twelve quantitative characters to study the association between yield and its contributing traits. Single plant yield showed significant positive correlation with traits viz., number of clusters per plant, number of pods per plant, pod length, number of seeds per pod, number of pods per cluster and hundred seed weight.

An investigation was undertaken to evaluate forty three progenies from F5generation of Lablab bean along with one local check for estimation of genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance. A wide range of variation was observed for yield and its component traits among the progenies under study. Highest and lowest coefficient variation was noticed in the seed yield per plant and days to maturity respectively.

Availability of variability for yield and related traits is limited in the cultivated germplasm of chickpea. So the evaluation of backcross and F2 population derived from the cross of chickpea variety GPF2 with 2 accessions of its wild relative Cicer reticulatum viz., EC556270 and ILWC21 was done for yield and related traits. A wide variation was observed for all the characters. There were progenies out yielded the parents in most of the characters.

Twenty hybrids of linseed generated by crossing of 5 lines and 4 testers in line × tester mating design were sown along with their nine parental lines to assess the extent of average heterosis over heterobeltiosis for seed yield and its component traits during Rabi, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. This experiment was carried out at Research cum Instructional Farm, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, College of Agriculture, AICRP on Linseed, I.G.K.V., Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Correlation and path coefficient analysis were carried out for yield and yield attributing traits in 60 genotypes of sesame during 2018. The genotypic correlation coefficients were found to be of relatively higher magnitude than phenotypic correlation coefficient, indicating strong inherent correlation between traits. The seed yield/plant exhibited positive and significant correlation with days to flower initiation, days to 50% flowering, number of primary branches per plant, number of secondary branches per plant and number of capsules per plant both at genotypic and phenotypic levels.

It is resulted that the growth characters of pea indicated significant effect of sowing dates as sowing dates, D1 (1st November) had recorded maximum plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, earliest 50% flowering and harvesting and SPAD value at all the growth stages, while minimum in D4 (16th December) date of sowing. Yield attributes traits revealed significant impact of date of sowing in garden pea. Highest number of pods per plant was recorded under D1 (1st November), D2, D3 and D4.
