The study was carried out according to the single-factor experimental method to determine the main working parameters of the aerodynamic sowing unit combined with the inclined disc.The results showed that an inclined seed disc is more effective than a vertical one in receiving and holding seeds during the sowing process.

The degree of dense planting affects the respiration characteristics of alfalfa artificial grassland. In the process of alfalfa seed production, high plant and multibranch forage can be obtained by reasonable close planting. Therefore, an analysis method of the effect of reasonable close planting on respiration characteristics of garden alfalfa artificial grassland is put forward. In this method, the density characteristics of alfalfa planting were determined from three aspects of plant horizontal density, vertical density and three-dimensional density.

A field experiment was conducted in kharif season of 2015 to investigate the influence of silicon solublizer on different rice genotypes namely PA-6129, PA-6201, PA-6444, PHB71, US-312, and BPT-5204. Soil application of silicon solubilizers was given at the time of maximum tillering, panicle initiation and 50% flowering stage. The experiment was arranged as split plot design with three treatments and three replications.

Two years (2014-15 and 2015-16) of field experiments were conducted under winter irrigated conditions on Periyanaicken palayam soil series (Vertic Ustropept) at Central Institute for Cotton Research, Regional Station, Coimbatore to study the effect of different types of commercially available nanofertilizers on cotton growth and yield. Combined form of macro and micronutrient nanofertilizers (NF 1, NF 2, NF 3 and NF 4) compared with recommended dose of combined form of normal micronutrient fertilizers which were sprayed on cotton (var: Suraj) at 30 and 90 DAS.

An experiment was conducted at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana to find out the appropriate planting method and optimum nitrogen level for enhancing the seed yield of fodder maize (Zea mays L.) variety J-1006. The experiment was conducted in strip plot design with three sowing methods viz. zero tillage (ZT), conventional tillage (CT) and bed planting (BP) in vertical strips and four nitrogen levels (0, 100, 125 and 150 kg N/ha) in horizontal strips.

Thirteen (Three gynoecious and ten monoecious) germplasm lines of cucumber (Cucumber sativus L.) were characterized by sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide vertical slab gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). The seed protein could be resolved into total 11 bands distributed in 4 zones i.e. A, B, C and D. Zone A was divided into 5 subzones and 5 bands, zone B has 1 band C has 5 and zone D included 5 bands. Similarity index value ranged from 62% to 100% among all the genotypes. Pgyn-1 showed least similarity 68% with other genotypes.

Field experiment was conducted on Research farm, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishvavidyalaya Raipur during summer 2016 to study the response of drip fertigation intra row seeding of legume and planting geometry on soil health productivity and net return of summer maize. The experiment was laid in strip plot design with six vertical drip fertigation and intra row cowpea and three horizontal planting geometry with eighteen treatments.

In this work, ZnO nanorods (NRs) were successfully grown on printed circuit board substrates (PCBs) by utilizing a one-step, seedless, low-cost hydrothermal method. It was shown that by implementing a galvanic cell structure in an aqueous solution of 80 mM of zinc nitrate hexahydrate and hexamethylenetetramine, ZnO NRs can directly grow on the PCBs substrate without the assistance of a seed layer. The effect of hydrothermal time on the surface morphologies, and the crystallinity of the as-grown ZnO nanorods (NRs) was also investigated.

Small tractor operated seed planter with battery drive consists of a frame, furrow openers, individual seed boxes and battery drive, vertical rotor type seed metering mechanism, push button switch, and speed regulator. Seed metering mechanism gets a drive from the dc motor with aids of chain and sprocket arrangement instead of from ground wheel. As per the design calculations, the width of seed planter was 1.25 m. Shoe type furrow openers were selected to open the furrow. No. of furrow openers and row to row spacing was 5no.s and 25 cm respectively.

A laboratory test-rig for groundnut planter was developed for testing and calibrating the pneumatic seed metering mechanism. The experimental test rig mainly consists of main frame, seed hopper, seed metering system, power transmission system and sticky belt system. The metering unit is incorporated with a vertical seed plate held in a vacuum retaining chamber to singulate the seeds. A dial type vacuum gauge was provided in order to record the variation in suction pressure. A sticky belt was used to simulate the field surface during laboratory investigation.

Zero-Till-Slit tillage and seeding machine was designed and developed for fulfilling the requirements of conservation agriculture. The rotary zero-till-slit tillage and seeding machine were developed for zero-till seeding in straw fields after grain combine harvester's operation. The combined tillage and seeding machine were equipped with seven units of rotary slit cutters as a key component. In the present study, four different shapes of rotary slit cutters were evaluated in the soil-bin laboratory for different forces acting on the rotary slit cutter blade.

The metering unit was a vertical seed plate with a vacuum, used in seeding maize (Zea mays L.). An electronic counter in the metering unit was used to determine the holes without seed on the plate holes.
