Supply chain management played a critical role in the electric power industrial chain optimization. The paper notes that in order to increase transparency and efficiency of settlements for electric energy, the introduction of intelligent metering systems is necessary. In order to achieve efficiency, transparency, data security and reduce transaction costs abroad, blockchain technologies that have both positive and negative characteristics have begun to be actively introduced.

The southern part of the Western Anatolia Extensional Province is governed by E-W-trending horst-graben systems and NW-SE-oriented active faults. The NW-striking Yatağan Fault is characterised by an almost pure normal sense of motion with a minor dextral strike slip component. Although the settlements within the area have been affected by several earthquake events since ancient times (~2000 BCE), the earthquake potential and history of the Yatağan Fault has remained unknown until a few years ago.

In marine invertebrate life cycles, which often consist of planktonic larval and benthonic adult stages, settlement of the free-swimming larva to the sea floor in response to environmental cues is a key life cycle transition. Settlement is regulated by a specialized sensory–neurosecretory system, the larval apical organ.

Through rigorous rural electrification projects, over 99.97% of Bhutan’s households now have access to electricity, which is predominantly generated from run-of-the-river hydropower plants. Despite this achievement, around 5% of the rural households still do not have access to electricity to meet their cooking load demands and, therefore, they extensively rely on firewood, LPG, and kerosene for cooking purposes. Apart from hydropower, penetration of other renewable sources such as solar and wind power in the country is negligible.

(BQ) The book is divided into three parts with 14 chapters. The first part introduces fractal geometry for people without any mathematics background, fractals in African settlement architecture, fractals in cross-cultural comparison, and intention and invention in design. The second part discusses geometric algorithms, scaling, numeric systems, recursion, infinity, and complexity. The third part focuses on theoretical frameworks in cultural studies of knowledge, the politics of African fractals, fractals in European history of mathematics, and futures for African fractals.

Soil organic carbon (SOC) content is key component of the global carbon (C) cycle which is highly variable with respect to space and time. The main objective of this study was to provide an assessment of soil organic carbon (SOC) stock variability for Uttarakhand state. The other objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of different pedotransfer functions for reliable assessment of bulk density. Soil Resource Mapping for Uttarakhand state was conducted on 1:50,000 scale with the help of Satellite imagery (LISS III) along with exhaustive ground truthing through soil surveys.

The paper presents a study of the behavior of model strip footings supported on a loose sandy slope and subjected to both monotonic and cyclic loads. The effects of the partial replacement of a compacted sand layer and the inclusion of geosynthetic reinforcement were investigated. Different combinations of the initial monotonic loads and the amplitude of cyclic loads were chosen to simulate structures in which loads change cyclically such as machine foundations.

In this paper, the ultimate load capacities of shell foundations on unreinforced and reinforced sand were determined by laboratory model tests. A series of loading tests were carried out on model shell footing with and without single layer of reinforcement. The tests were done for shell foundation at different shell embedment depth and subgrade density. The results were compared with those for flat foundations without reinforcement. The model test results were verified using finite element analysis using program PLAXIS.
