Steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) is a multiple-composite material developed during the early 1970s. In SFRC, short steel fibers are randomly distributed in concrete. Steel fibers can prevent the development of micro-cracks inside the concrete and reduce the expansion and development of the macro-cracks, thus enhance mechanical performance of SFRC. However, there is lack of studies on the influence of flowability of fresh SFRC on the steel fiber distribution patterns and mechanical properties of hardened SFRC.

In this paper, the severe plastic deformation method (SPD) known as constrained groove pressing (CGP) was applied to produce ultrafine-grained microstructure in IF steel sheets. In the CGP technique, samples are subjected to repetitive shear deformation under the plane strain deformation condition using the constrained grooved and flat dies.

Finite element method is used to study the free vibration analysis of functionally graded skew plates. The material properties of the skew plates are assumed to vary continuously through their thickness according to a power-law distribution of the volume fractions of the plate constituents.
