Investigations on population dynamics of lucerne aphid were carried out under field condition during 2018-19 at Instructional Farm, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh. The activity of aphid, Aphis craccivora was commenced from 2nd week of February and remained upto 3rd week of March having peak during 4th week of February in lucerne crop. Simultaneously, higher population of lady bird beetles was observed during 4th week of January to 3rd week of March and showed significantly highly positive correlation with aphid population.

The influence of environmental factors on the development of pea powdery mildew (Erysiphe pisi) was studied under field conditions. Epidemiological studies revealed that the apparent rate of disease development was high during 50% flowering to pod initiation stage. Powdery mildew severity showed positively and significantly correlated with maximum temperature and sunshine hours. The correlation was non-significant with minimum temperature and relative humidity.

The present investigation was carried out during 2005-06 in four randomly selected cooperative branches of District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB) of Raipur district. Majority of respondents were regular in repayment of their loan. Correlation analysis between independent and dependent variables also reveals that socio-economic status and extension contact shows positively and highly significant and remaining variables exhibited non-significant relationship with loan repayment performance of respondents.

An experiment was conducted with 32 cultivars of dahlia (Dahlia variabilis L.) to study correlation and path analysis among the yield attributing traits and their effect. Correlation among component characters showed that flower yield per plant had a highly significant positive genotypic correlation with leaf area index (0.617), crop duration (0.771), flowering duration (0.800), tuber weight (0.668) and change in fresh weight at day 3.

40 (forty) yellow seeded genotypes of linseed taken from AICRP on linseed, Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (Chhattisgarh) along with one check variety surabhi (yellow seeded check) were evaluated for estimation of seed yield and oil content. The high significant and positive correlation of oil yield per plant with 1000 seed weight suggested that heavy weight seed might have higher oil content. Therefore, selection based on 1000 seed weight could be depending on rich oil yield for the development of varieties.

The exploitation of yield potential through inter sub specific (inter-racial) hybridization become a challenging task for rice breeders. Grain yield improvement is considered to be prime objective of any breeding programme, quality traits are yet another important consideration of rice breeding in India. Association of yield and yield components and among grain quality traits thus assumes a unique prominence as the basis for selecting desirable high yielding genotypes with good grain quality characters.

Sprinkler irrigation is still in its infancy in India and there is a need to make it popular among the farmers. Even though there is a phenomenal growth in the area under sprinkler irrigation, a lot of work is still to be done to explain and convince the farmers, especially those in the dry land area about the high potentialities of this new system. The present study was conducted in Rakia block of Kandhamal district in Odisha, which was selected purposively. The data were collected through pre-tested schedule for 120 respondents selected randomly.

A field experiment was conducted in kharif 2011on blackgram genotype T-9. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replication and thirteen treatments. There was significant improvement recorded in yield, nutrient content, uptake and physico-chemical properties viz. pH, electrical conductivity, organic carbon and available N and P of soil under black gram crop. Grain yield was increased by 47.06% in treatment T13 over control while, organic carbon showed significantly highly positive correlation with available nitrogen (r=.878) in post harvest soil.

What is an important food crop in India but of the entire world. The study indicates that the analysis of the variance showed highly significant differences for all the characters. Genetic variability indicated that high estimates of GCV and PCV were observed for the traits like 1000 grain weight, grains per spike, spikelets per spike, spike length and yield per plot. Further, high heritability coupled with high genetic advance as percent of mean was also observed, indicating the less influence of environmental variance in these characters.
