Simple hydrothermal method

In this paper, we reported NO2 sensors based on the ZnO nanorods with different sizes fabricated using a simple hydrothermal method without surfactants. The sensors offered the excellent response and sensitivity to NO2 at very low concentrations as low as 100 ppb. The influence of the size of the ZnO nanorods on the NO2 sensing response was focused.

Graphene oxideeZinc oxide (GOeZnO) nanocomposite was prepared by a simple hydrothermal method. SEM and TEM analysis showed the presence of wide size range ZnO nanoparticles, which are distributed and firmly anchored onto the graphene oxide layers.

In this paper, a very simple procedure was presented for the synthesis of WO3 nanoparticles by hydrothermal treatment at 180 ◦C for 48 h using sodium tungstate and hydrochloric acid as starting materials. This paper presents an investigation on the performance of ZnO nanorod (ZNR)-based piezoelectric nanogenerators (PENGs). ZNRs on the ZnO seed layer coated double-sided flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) at different molar concentrations (0.01, 0.05 and 0.1 M) were synthesized by controlling the aspect ratio (length/diameter) of ZNRs, that are closely related to the piezoelectric output potential voltage using a simple hydrothermal method.

In this research, we present the ZnO nanorods synthesized through the simple route of the hydrothermal method. The ZnO nanorods were developed through the application of only zinc acetate Zn(CH3 COO)2 and ammonia solution, NH4 OH, in the hydrothermal process at 1500 C for 10 hours. The size of the ZnO nanorods was defined as approximately 300 nm in diameter and 1-2 µm in length. The fabrication of sensors was achieved through drop-coating of synthesized ZnO nanorods on Al2 O3 substrates integrated with Au electrodes.

In this work, we study a semiconductor-based photocatalyst MoO3 synthesized using three simple techniques, including as-prepared, hydrothermal and microwave-assisted methods. The obtained samples were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Raman spectroscopy. We found a better crystallinity in the nanoparticles synthesized by the microwave-assisted method in comparison to those synthesized by the other methods.

High quality, high density, and well-aligned zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods have been synthesized on cost-effective printed circuit board (PCB) substrates via a simple, seedless, onestep, low-temperature hydrothermal method based galvanic cell structure. It was found that the outer diameters of the ZnO nanorods range from 50 nm to 400 nm.
