Being medium in size, it can easily be handled by women, children and old members of the family. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to assess the reproductive status of Sirohi goats under field conditions.

A study was conducted to estimate the pre- and post-weaning relative growth rates (RGR) in Sirohi goats born during 2005 to 2017 under field conditions. The overall least-squares mean for pre-weaning (0-3M) and post weaning (3-12M) relative growth rate were 1.79±0.02 and 0.263±0.005 percent per day, respectively.

A three month old Sirohi breed of kid was presented with history of gradual off feed maintained in an organized farm. On clinical examination of kid revealed dehydration, dullness, anemic and the condition is deteriorated and suffering with respiratory distress leading to death of kid. On postmortem examination of kid reveled that, there was one hard ball, in the rumen. The hairballs occupied most of the rumen leaving little space for food and therefore, it was considered to be the cause of the in-appetence.

A study was conducted on birth weight Forty Sirohi goat kids (20 male and 20 female) were used to investigate the effect of sex, type of birth and season of birth weight. Season of kidding was classified as autumn and winter. The overall birth weight of kids was 2.57± 0.036 kg.

Goat milk has higher Somatic Cell Count (SCC) and the ability to correctly interpret somatic cell counts in goat depends on an understanding of the various factors which may affect the number of somatic cells. The present study was carried out to determine the effect of non-genetic factors on Sub Clinical Mastitis (SCM) and to investigate the relationships between these factors with Somatic cell count (SCC) in 105 Sirohi goats raised at Sheep breeding farm Fatehpur, Sikar in Rajasthan, India.

The present research work was carried out to study the effect of concentrate feeding on body weight and benefit cost ratio of weaned kids of Sirohi goat. Twenty four kids of Sirohi breed between 3-4 months age were randomly selected on the basis of uniform body weight, age and divided into 3 groups of 8 kids each at the goat farm of S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner. Group T1 served as control supplemented with 50 g concentrate per kid per day for 3 months.

The study was conducted to evaluate the influence of probiotic supplementation on body weight, body weight gain, body length, Sirohi and Barbari kids just after weaning at the age of 2-3 month of either sex were selected and distributed randomly i.e. Twenty four (24) Sirohi and Twenty four (24) Barbari male and female kids were randomly selected from the Institute’s flock for the study.

A 2-year-old goat was presented to TVCC with history of leaking of milk through teared teat. On examination showed that teat was ruptured longitudinally about 2 cm in length. Milk was coming out through the injured area. Sedation of goat done under the Xylazine and caudal epidural anaesthesia for suturing of the teat with the help of chromic catgut no. 1 in under lying layer and superficial layer with the help of silk thread.
