The thesis focuses on the impact of the Phu Day festival on community cultural life and vice versa, the effects of community residents on the Phu Day festival. In other words, they are the interaction between the Phu Day Festival and the cultural life of the community, in terms of: agricultural production, academic work, business activities, family-social relationships, health. Especially, the thesis deals with the level of impact of the festival's values: spiritual beliefs, traditional education, artistic, socio-economic values to the community cultural life.

Farmers Association of Hai Duong Province is a socio-political organization, protecting legitimate rights and interests of over 300,000 farmers in the province. Activities of the associations have brought farmers access to new technology, linking farmers' activities with programs and projects on socio-economic development, loans and creating jobs. In order to help many farmers transform their agricultural economy, farmers actively participate in the movement of building new rural areas, enhancing cultural and artistic activities, sports and physical training.

The study investigated how knowledge sharing process takes place among communities in rural areas in Tanzania. Specifically, the study determined how knowledge was created; assessed how rural people shared knowledge; and evaluated the impacts of social-cultural practices, individual and institutional factors on knowledge creation and sharing. The study also assessed how ICTs were used in knowledge creation and sharing among rural people. The study employed a meta-analysis where studies on knowledge acquisition and sharing among rural people in Tanzania were critically analysed.

Bivalve culture such as clam production is a promising activity as it is more profitable despite a low production rate. However, clam culture has the disadvantage of mainly relying on capture of seed source from the wild. At the same time, due to disease outbreak in the prawn farming sector as a consequence of water deterioration, there has been an overall reduction in aquaculture production. Clam is recognized as a water cleaning machine(filter feeder), thus water quality will be improved if clam can be incorporated into the shrimp farming system.
