The feasibility study was conducted in Muong Phang, Na Nhan, and Na Tau communes, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province. Based on GIS data and the satellite images of the forest coverage anlysis in three points of time in the past (1990, 2000, and 2010) and the results of the survey on the tree volume, tree growth, and tree increment in 6 typical plots of plantation, 15 typical plots of natural forest, and the socio-economic analysis three scenarios were proposed for the project area to the year 2040.

The present study was aimed at understanding the socio-economic conditions and adoption of sheep management practices in Karauli district of Rajasthan, India as it serves as a benchmark for evolving meaningful extension strategies and other policy interventions. The scenario in Karauli district revealed that sheep production is in the hands of traditional farmers; rearing under the extensive system of management. Most of the farmers had a poor socio-economic background with illiteracy. Majority is rearing a hairy coated dual purpose breed with small flock sizes ranging from 25 to 50 heads.

A field experiment was conducted during rabi season 2017-18 at the Research Farm, College of Horticulture, Mandsaur (Madhya Pradesh) to find out the effect of sowing time and plant geometry on growth, yield and quality of black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) under Malwa plateau condition. The experiment was laid out in factorial RBD design with three replications including four sowing time and three plant geometry. The different treatments significantly influenced the growth, yield and quality attributes of black cumin.

An elderly or old age woman comprises the later part of life; the period of life after youth and middle age. The elderly women lived in vulnerable conditions and don’t have any vocational skills in order to earn their livelihood as their whole life is spent doing household work and their physical health didn’t allowed them to work. They faced vulnerability in the psychological, economical, physical and social areas. The elderly women in unorganized sector were living in susceptible conditions and they were given less importance.

The standardized precipitation index (SPI) is used to analyse drought conditions in the past 54 years (1961-2014) and to assess possible drought conditions in the 21st century under the RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 scenarios for the Red River Delta. The results show that with different timescales, the drought conditions of the Red River Delta tended to increase during the period of 1961-2014.

This study investigates impacts of climate change on water resource in the Huong River basin in the Central Vietnam. Hydrological responses of six climate change scenarios were calculated. Results reveal that climate change would cause significant increase in rainfall in wet season resulting in an increase in river flow. By contrast, the decreasing trend of river flow in dry season is a consequence of the decline of rainfall and increase of evapotranspiration under most scenarios. Sea level rise coupled with the lowering of river stages may exacerbate salinity intrusion.
