Tomatoes and eggplants are foods that have a lot of nutritional values for humans. Applying farming methods to get good quality products such as being free of pathogenic microorganisms and free of heavy metals needs concerned. In this study, we analyzed cultivation soil and irrigation water samples around tomato and eggplant cultivating areas of farmers who used chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

The isolated bacterial strains, including the reference strain, were identified using ELISA, pathogenicity test and carbohydrate oxidation. Bacterial wilt is widely distributed in Benin and was found in five of the eight agro-ecological zones (AEZ) of Benin, which correspond to eight of the 12 districts of Benin.

Organic substances imparted significant effects on the growth, yield and quality parameters of tomato during the experimentation and maximum plant height of 113.87 cm at 60 DAT and 173.40 cm at 120 DAT was reported with application of RDF-N:P:K (180:100:100) kg/ha, while at highest plant height at 180 DAT was observed with application of FYM (25 t/ha) + VC (10 t/ha) + Waste Decomposer (500 l/ha).

An experiment was conducted at experimental field of Precision Farming Development Center, Agricultural Research Center, Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Beechwal, Bikaner during the year 2014-15 and 2015-16. The experiment was carried out in Completely Randomized Block Design (Factorial) with three replications. The experiment consist of three water regime viz. 0.6 V, 0.8 V and 1.0 Volume of water through drip irrigation and four treatment of mulch viz. Black, silver, Dark red and without mulch . Result revealed that the maximum average yield per plant and yield per ha.

An experiment consisting of 24 genotypes of Tomato was conducted during the year 2016 at the Research Farm and Molecular Biology Laboratory of School of Biotechnology, SKUAST-J, Chatha. Seeds were sown in pots and 21 days old leaflets were used for DNA extraction. For molecular characterization, 24 genotypes of tomato were subjected to banding profiling by using 9 SSR and 13 RAPD markers.

In the present study, Trichoderma sp. have been long been used as biocontrol agents against tomato fungal disease. In this study, efficacy of the native isolates of Trichoderma sp, and another Trichoderma viride was procured from Microbial Culture Collection Bank (MCCB-02518), DIM, SHUATS. Fusarium wilt is one of the major yield limiting factors in tomato. Results showed In vitro efficiency of two species of antagonists (Trichoderma viride and Trichoderma sp.) significantly inhibited the mycelia growth of the pathogen.

Fifty three genotypes of tomato were assessed for their genetic divergence using Mahalanobis D2 statistics. Based on D2 values of 24 traits genotypes were grouped into eight clusters. Maximum genotypes were grouped in cluster III (11) followed by cluster VI (10) the remaining 32 genotypes were distributed in six clusters, 9 in cluster V, 7 in cluster II, 6 in cluster IV, 4 in cluster I, 3 in cluster VI and 3 in cluster VIII. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the growth ability and yield of promisedintroduced tomato cultivars during winter-spring season 2016–2017 in Thua Thien Hue province. A total of eight cultivar treatments were used, namely GC171, GC173, CLN2001A, CLN5915, CLN1621L, Hawai7996, Cherry, and ThuanDien.
