Sonochemical method

The process of synthesizing materials by sonochemical method depends on factors such as reaction rate, reaction concentration, reaction power, reaction time, etc. In this study, we investigate the influence of the above factors on the synthesis of materials by sonochemical method.

MoO3 nanoparticles were prepared by a surfactant assisted sonochemical method. The results show that the samples can be used as blue light emitting components of white light emitting diodes.

In this study, an abundant and eco-friendly photocatalytic material, Fe2O3 particles were synthesized by sonochemical method. Morphological and microstructural investigations of synthesized undoped and Ni, Co-doped Fe2O3 particles were performed. The effect of particle morphology and microstructure on its photocatalytic performance was further investigated. Comparative studies for evaluating particle crystallite sizes were conducted by Williamson-Hall (W-H) method and modified Debye-Scherrer (MDS).

In the present study, ZnO nanostructures were synthesized and immobilized on the surface of diatomite via a simple sonochemical method for the photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde in the aqueous phase. The characterization of as-prepared ZnO/diatomite nanocomposite was carried out by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The photocatalysis of formaldehyde was favored at neutral pH. At a ZnO to diatomite ratio of 0.3, increasing the photocatalyst dosage from 0.2 to 1.

In this study, we demonstrate a facile approach for the synthesis of strontium tungstate (G-SrWO4) using Pomelo leaf extract via the sonochemical method. The electrocatalytic performance of G-SrWO4 solubilized Nafion (Nf) (G-SrWO4/Nf) modified GC electrode was evaluated for uric acid (UA) detection.

Lead sulfide (PbS) and Au-PbS core-shell nanoparticles were successfully synthesized using the sonochemical method at room temperature. The morphology of the synthesized particles was characterized by FESEM and TEM images. Pure fcc phase of PbS and Au crystal structures was examined and confirmed by XRD patterns. The quantum confinement effect plays a crucial role in blue-shifting the absorption edge and the band gap energy of both solid PbS nanoparticles and a thin spherical PbS shell toward shorter wavelength region in comparison to those of PbS bulk.
