Soybean (Glycine max L.) is an important leguminous oil seed crop among all the seed crops of country grown during rainy season. The higher incidence of weed and pests during growth period are one of the important menaces in getting higher yield of crop.A field experiment was conducted during rainy season 2019 at Agricultural Research Station, Banswara (Raj.), India to evaluate bio-efficacy of compatible tank-mix combinations of herbicide and insecticides to manage the weed and insect-pests in crop.

Therefore, it is necessary, to find out the alternative methods for reducing the weed load during early growth period of soybean to get economical yields. Thus, herbicidal weed control remains only the choice under such situation to minimize the weed menace economically. Therefore, keeping the above facts in view, the present experiment has been carried outto find out effective weed control method.

Water stress periods are common in rainfed agriculture therefore the activities aimed at conserving the rainwater should be adopted for improving the productivity of dryland crops. The major crops in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra are cotton, soybean and sorghum. It was observed that the drought situation may arise during crop growth period which may result in partial failure of crops. It was therefore felt worthwhile to adopt the proper methods of in-situ moisture conservation so as to partially meet out the adverse effect of water stress in standing crop.

A research was conducted to assess the performance of oilseed crops in Marathwada region of Maharashtra State. Performance of oilseed crops was judged on important parameters i.e. growth. Compound growth rate was estimated by fitting non linear model to the area, production and productivity data for safflower from the period 1986-87 to 2015-16 i.e. 30 years. The entire period was divided in to three sub-periods and one overall period. Whereas for soybean crop because of non availability of data area, production and yield data were collected from 1996-97 to 2015-16 i.e. 20 year period.

An experiment of six weeks period was conducted to evaluate the effect of supplementing enzymes in soybean replaced with DDGS based diet on the performance and carcass characteristics of broiler chicks. The experimental work was conducted on 280 day old commercial broiler chickens randomly divided into seven dietary treatments having two replicates with twenty birds in each replicate, in each treatment group.

This study is aimed at assessing the impact of rainfall distribution pattern on the growth and yield of soybean crop in selected districts of Madhya Pradesh. The crop growth is found to be more sensitive to rainfall pattern at critical stages. Prolonged dry spells at critical life stages of the soybean crop are found to adversely affect crop development and growth and hence the yields at selected sites. Rainfall and yield data of selected districts of Madhya Pradesh were collected and analysed for the period of 11 years (2004-2014).

Production of alkaline protease from B. licheniformis N-2 was studied in shake flask experiments in growth medium comprised of (g/l): glucose, 10; soybean meal, 10; K2HPO4, 5; MgSO4.7H2O, 0.5; NaCl, 0.5; CaCl2.2H2O, 0.5. Different process parameters, such as fermentation period, initial pH, incubation temperature, agitation speed, and size and age of inoculum, were optimized for the maximum yield of the alkaline protease.
