In this study, a composite material (ACS) was successfully synthesized from activated carbon (AC) derived from soybean curd and sludge from the supply water treatment process using FeCl3. Subsequently, the ACS was employed as a heterogeneous catalyst for the degradation of Paracetamol (PRC) in solutions under conditions of the Fenton process.

The root system provides nutrient absorption and is closely related to abiotic stress tolerance, but it is difficult to study the roots under field conditions. This study was conducted to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with primary root length (PRL) during soybean seedling growth in hydroponic conditions.

The production of cellulases is an important strategy for the development of sustainable second-generation ethanol production processes. The present study was undertaken to select cheap and efficient agricultural residue suitable for cellulase production using fungus Humicola insolens. Six different agricultural residues viz., paddy straw, soybean pod husk, sugarcane bagasse, groundnut shells, corn stalks and pigeonpea pod husk were used as substrate in the solid state fermentation medium.

The aim of the present investigation was to study the effect of soybean leaf protein and protease inhibitor content on the mean leaf area consumed by Spodoptera litura and Spilosoma obliqua larva. The activity of trypsin inhibitor was assayed by determining the residual trypsin activity by using BapNA as the substrate and bovine trypsin as the standard enzyme.

HPLC method for the analysis for diclosulam herbicide was standardized using acetonitrile : 0.1% ortho-phosphoric acid (40 : 60) at a flow rate of 1 ml/min at 204 nm wavelength using PDA detector. Recovery of diclosulam from soil were above 70%. Diclosulam was applied at 20 and 26 g/ha as pre-emergence application. Soil samples were extracted and analysed for diclosulam residues by HPLC at zero day and harvest. The residues were found below the detectable limits.

Soybean 4-kDa peptide, a hormone-like peptide, is a ligand for the 43-kDaprotein in legumes that functions as aprotein kinase and controls cell proliferation and differentiation. As this peptide stimulates proteinkinase activity, the interaction between the 4-kDa peptide (leginsulin) and the 43-kDa protein is considered important for signal transduction. However, the mechanism of interaction between the 4-kDa peptide and the 43-kDa protein is not clearly understood.
